Man Kills Neighbor Before Committing Suicide for Afterlife 'Chess Partner'
In one recent disturbing case, a man murdered his neighbor before taking his own life. The 54-year-old male reportedly killed his companion because he wanted to have a chess partner after death.
It’s impossible to truly understand what goes through the mind of a person contemplating suicide. In one recent and exceptionally disturbing case, a man murdered his neighbor before taking his own life.
The 54-year-old male reportedly killed him because he wanted to have a chess partner after death. The neighbor’s dead body was discovered by the man’s landlord, who had arrived at the residence, located in Jinhua, China, to collect the monthly rent.
The police were immediately notified. Once investigators arrived on scene, they found the other male in an adjacent room, also dead, but of self inflicted methods. Two notes were found in the home along with some drugs.
The murder victim had reportedly been strangled. As for the other man, the evidence revealed he committed suicide over issues with family members. The landlady referred to him as “eccentric” and also claimed he wasn’t very sociable.
While it was not revealed if the males had any previous hostility towards one another, it doesn’t appear to be the case. Police believe the sole purpose for the murder was so the suicidal male wouldn’t have to be alone in the afterlife.
