As the saying goes, “it’s better to be safe than sorry”. One woman in Coventry who might have erred a little too much on the side of caution, was caught stopped at a red-light, but she wasn’t driving. Instead she was walking.

Unfortunately for the waiting pedestrian, a driver sitting at the light noticed her and snapped a picture finding the scene rather funny. The photo taker, 18-year-old Imogen O'Neill decided to share the image online and its evident Netizens found it comical as well because the snapshot has since gone viral.

The photo garnered the attention of Comedian Russell Kane, pointing out the woman stopped walking at a light solely made to direct motorists.

To be fair, however, the sign underneath the light read “When Red Light Shows, Wait Here”. For those who aren’t accustomed to walking on a regular basis, it’s unclear if that rule applies to everyone.

O’Neill stated “I didn't expect the kind of reaction it got, it's been retweeted by loads of people. After it went so crazy online I felt really bad. I felt a bit sorry for her.” Thankfully for the careful woman, her identiy remains unknown.
