Most people wouldn’t dream of tasting pet food.
However, a pet store owner in Washington has decided to eat nothing but natural dog and cat food for 30 days. Dorothy Hunter is the owner of Paws Natural Pet Emporium.
She got the idea to eat the animal food while doing inventory on June 19th. Hunter explained “I didn't have time to go get a snack, so I grabbed a bag of treats off the counter, and I was like, wow, you know, these read better than normal people treats..”
“I actually believe our pets are eating better than us. With that said, for the next month, until July 19th before I go to my next trade show, I’m gonna eat dog food for a month.” [Via youtube/PawsNatural]
Hunter says she’s lost 2 and a half pounds thus far and claims the swelling in her feet has gone down. She hopes the experiment will prompt people to read the ingredients on both animal and human food labels so both pets and their owners will eat healthier.
