UK Approves Womb Transplant Trials

Following the recent womb transplant-enabled birth of a baby in Sweden, doctors in the UK will soon be starting a similar trial of their own.

Following the recent womb transplant-enabled birth of a baby in Sweden, doctors in the UK will soon start a similar trial of their own. 
The nation’s Health Research Authority has given approval for the procedures that will start sometime next year.
The first British baby to gestate in one of the surgically implanted uteruses could be born in late 2017 or early 2018. 
More than 300 women contacted the researchers conducting the trial and the list has since been narrowed down to roughly 100 qualified
