According to a recently published paper, consuming meats--either red or white--that are cooked at high heat or over a fire like barbecuing or pan-frying could mean a greater likelihood of kidney cancer.

A report released last month declared eating processed meat results in a greater risk of developing cancer. Now, another study suggests some common meat cooking techniques may increase the risk as well.
According to a recently published paper, consuming meats--either red or white--that are cooked at high heat or over a fire like barbecuing or pan-frying could mean a greater likelihood of kidney cancer.
It is believed that these methods promote the creation of two cancer-causing compounds—researchers linked one to a 54 percent higher risk and the other an increase of roughly 200 percent.
And those with a specific genetic mutation were found to be even more susceptible.
