Honeysuckle tea is use by the Chinese for thousands of years. The flower has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. I love it for its delicate scent. So, I try to make a herbal concoction with other herbs and it turns out just nice!
金银花茶有清热解毒之用。我特别喜欢其味甘甜且气芳香的特质。今天大胆尝试泡制向往的混合花茶,效果还不赖呢!

Ingredients 食材用料

20g dried honeysuckle 金银花
15g dried chrysanthemum 菊花
10g dried nutmeg mace 乾肉豆蔻皮
2 green tea sachet 绿茶包
5g licorice slice 甘草
10g dried mandarin peel 陈皮
30g lemongrass 香茅
6 pandan leaves 班兰叶
1tbsp lemon juice 柠檬汁
200g honey 蜂蜜
2000ml water 水

Instructions 步骤

Pour water to a medium pot and bring it to broil.
在一个中型锅中将水煮滚。
Pound chopped lemon grass and licorice together in a stone pounder.
将切段的香茅和甘草片在石捣臼里捣碎。
Add in all herbs and spices except chrysanthemum flowers and green tea sachets.
除了菊花和绿茶包外,将其余干料倒入。
Cover with lit and turn down the fire. Let simmer for 15 minutes.

Put in chrysanthemum flowers.

Let simmer for 5 minutes.

Turn off fire. Drop in tea bags and steep for 1 minutes.
熄火后丢入茶包并静置一分钟。
Strain the tea with a muslin bag.
用平纹细布袋将茶汁滤出。
Dissolve honey in the tea at 50 degree celsius.
五十摄氏度时加入蜂蜜,搅拌至溶解。
Add lemon juice and wait for for 5 minutes before enjoy the tea.
倒入柠檬汁。五分钟后便可享用。

Recipe Notes 笔记

Steep your tea sachets not more than 1 minute. Caution, do not add honey when the tea is still very hot.
避免将茶包浸泡太久,最多一分钟。水温降至不烫手时方可加入蜂蜜,千万别将蜂蜜加入滚烫的热水中。
