A hilarious video shows the moment a Scots bride pranked her Celtic daft groom by playing a Rangers anthem as their first dance song.

Shannon Scott and partner Shaun Bell tied the knot in Glasgow on Friday, February 17, and the celebrations were well underway at their wedding reception when the time for their first dance arrived.

The pair took to the dance floor to begin their first dance as man and wife when the DJ left Celtic die-hard Shaun taken aback by the tune of choice.

The video shows the newlyweds standing in the center of the dance floor as a crowd of family and friends look on from surrounding tables. The DJ announces: "Now for the first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Bell."

Shaun begins to prematurely sway as the first note hits before the penny drops as to what song is playing. The catchy tune is the beginning of Roy Orbison's 'Penny Arcade' - a tune popular with supporters of Rangers as it is often played at Ibrox stadium.

Shaun bursts out laughing upon the realization and is joined by a chorus of howls from the guests and his new bride Shannon. The 30-year-old chuckles, stepping away from Shannon as guests egg him on to follow through with the dance.

He points at Shannon, 26, as the DJ confesses: "That was your wife that said let's play it!"

The onlookers are left in stitches as Shaun pretends to walk off the dance floor in protest, but quickly returns to Shannon's side as the DJ continues: "Okay here we go, here are the real deal folks."

The couple then shares a kiss as they begin to waltz on the dance floor to Rod Stewart's 'Have I Told You Lately'. The video of the couple was shared to TikTok yesterday by friend Martine Fitzpatrick.

The clip has received over 35,000 views with more than 900 likes and dozens of comments including some users joking he should file for divorce.

One said: "Superb, I'm a Rangers fan but you were well set up there pal." Another added: "Divorce proceedings."

A third replied: "Brilliant, congratulations to you both."

Bride Shannon said: "We had a lot of people at the wedding who don't support Celtic.

"We had Hibs, Hearts, Chelsea, and Rangers [supporters] who had all come along and during the dinner, Shaun made a toast to Ange Postecoglou - or Big Ange - the Celtic manager.

"I thought that since he had done that during his speech it was only fair that he got a taste of his own medicine!"

Celtic made sure that Shaun and Shannon's wedding weekend wasn't dampened by their performance as they ran out 4-0 winners over Aberdeen.

Skipper Calum MacGregor got the opening goal after just two minutes before a Reo Hatate double and a late Liel Abada strike sealed all three points.
