PRESIDENT'S APPEAL TO TRANSPORT GROUPS

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appeals to transport groups not to push through with their week-long strike, says he is willing to talk to them regarding the June 30 deadline for traditional jeepney operators to acquire modern public utility vehicles. In an interview with media on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, Marcos said that while the transport scheme was 'necessary', there was a need to review its implementation.
