00:00 One of the biggest changes for the Cowboys this season is Mike McCarthy calling the plays.
00:06 Did the offense look any different to you?
00:08 It's a change, and yet some of the fundamentals are so the same whether you're running whatever
00:13 offense.
00:14 In fact, I had my conversation with Troy Aikman, thanks for watching that on CowboysSI.com,
00:19 and he says even back in Norv Turner's days when they ran the Cowboys Super Bowl offenses,
00:25 there were still components of the West Coast offense there.
00:28 And he said Norv would sit down and watch 49er film and say, "I'm going to borrow that,
00:32 and I'm going to borrow that."
00:33 And so when you look at these coaching trees and these different systems, they do mesh
00:38 at different times.
00:39 So I would say to the layman, no.
00:41 I wouldn't say all of a sudden, "Oh my gosh, it's a completely different thing."
00:44 I would not say that.
00:47 You know, Prescott still had a tipped interception.
00:49 That hasn't changed.
00:50 There's still a quarterback throwing an interception here and there.
00:54 That hasn't changed.
00:55 But the Mike McCarthy portion of it is so important.
00:58 He said the other day, "I'm in my element."
01:01 This is what he...
01:02 That's huge.
01:03 I think it is, too.
01:04 And he's not exactly a person who...
01:05 He's not exactly a braggart.
01:08 So I think it's just a critically important thing to understand how smooth that transition
01:16 is going to be.
01:18 New offense, but to some degree, not new terminology.
01:22 Simpler in many ways for everybody, but maybe most of all, simpler for the head coach who's
01:28 going to be the play caller.
