00:00 Hi, my name is Sam from Sussex World and here are today's top stories from around the county
00:04 for Friday, August 11th.
00:07 A Brighton man has been jailed for stalking and breaching a restraining order.
00:11 Paul Kerr, 59, formerly of Montague Street in Brighton, was jailed for nine years in
00:16 2020 after a targeted campaign of harassment against an NHS nurse spanning for two years.
00:22 He wrote to his victim, his victim's employer and various authorities accusing him of being
00:26 a paedophile who abuses patients.
00:28 Within days of being jailed, Kerr began to write letters to the NHS and social police
00:32 repeating his accusations as he sought to have his victim sacked from his job or arrested.
00:37 At Lewis Crown Court on Tuesday, Kerr was jailed for a further four years after being
00:40 found guilty of stalking and harassment.
00:44 With the summer months in full swing, pets at home is touring the UK with the new doggy
00:48 ice cream van stocked full of frozen treats for pooches and worthing beaches as the next
00:52 stop on its list.
00:53 The van will be located next to the splash pad at The Gap on Saturday, August 12th from
00:58 11am until 4pm.
01:00 Dog owners will be able to pick up a free dog-friendly Frozzie's frozen yoghurt from
01:04 their furry friends as well as take advantage of a water station which is available to help
01:08 keep pets hydrated after a fun walk around the grounds.
01:13 And finally, Brighton & Hove Albion have accepted a British Transport Record fee of £111m from
01:18 Liverpool for midfielder Moises Casseiro.
01:20 The fee agreed for Casseiro exceeds the £107m Chelsea paid for Argentine midfielder Enzo
01:25 Fernandez earlier this year.
01:26 Casseiro joined Brighton from Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle for £4m in February
01:32 2021, although he did not make his Premier League debut until April 2022.
