00:00 So tell me what you've been working on the most to improve so far this training camp.
00:04 I mean, biggest thing is probably the technical aspects at guard.
00:07 You know, I played a lot of tackle last season.
00:09 You know, I switched in at guard at times as well.
00:11 But now that it's looking to be a, you know, a longer term thing, just making sure I'm
00:16 sharp on all that stuff like steps, hands, like assignments and all that stuff.
00:20 What has been the most challenging part about moving to guard?
00:23 I mean, it's a phone booth.
00:25 Like you got to change up your footwork a lot.
00:27 You know, in tackle, you're more used to having free movement.
00:29 You're in space a lot.
00:30 Whereas in guard, you're in tighter, you're in tighter space.
00:33 You got to see more.
00:34 You got to anticipate more.
00:36 So just being on top of those little keys and aspects are really what I'm trying to
00:39 work on.
00:40 But it is getting me better, I will say.
00:41 Yeah.
00:42 Is there anybody that you've maybe reached out to, to kind of help you with that transition?
00:46 I mean, definitely just, you know, before, before training camp, you know, I talked to
00:50 Zach a lot.
00:51 Like I talked to Zach, obviously, you know, I got Tyler Beata.
00:55 She plays center, but you know, he knows what he needs, he expects and needs from me at
00:59 guard.
01:00 So we talked a lot about that as well.
01:01 And there's a lot of dudes I trained with at O-Line Masterminds, like Trey Smith, I
01:05 talked to him a lot.
01:07 Rashawn Slater is not a guard, but also, you know, I picked his mind, Taron Armstead, all
01:11 those guys.
01:12 So, you know, that was just really good to get their insight, you know, their perspective
01:15 on a lot of things.
01:16 What was the best piece of advice Zach had for you?
01:19 Man, one thing that Zach really instilled in me from last year was just, you know, keeping
01:25 my elbows tight.
01:26 You know, that's something that, you know, I've got a lot better with.
01:29 Like in college, I felt like at times, you know, I didn't necessarily know what to do
01:32 with my hands a lot of the time.
01:34 So they were just kind of there, you know, I was just going off, you know, I was just
01:37 being a dude, but just having him be like, hey, when you're in your stance, just have
01:41 your hands somewhere where they can be ready when you come up out of it.
01:44 And small stuff like that has really helped me.
