Minnesota Vikings: A Closer Look At Kirk Cousins And TJ Hockenson For Value

00:00 Vikings are the best team in this division. Oh yeah, the Lions are the best team in division.
00:07 Oh, the Packers can't be good again or you know, the Chicago Bears can't take a step
00:11 forward. We don't know any of these things and that's to be honest. We could start with
00:16 the Minnesota Vikings because they are the playoff team from last year that certainly
00:19 made some noise and offensively they are very good. Kirk Cousins has been very entertaining
00:23 on the quarterback show. I've been watching on Netflix. It's fun. I enjoy of course the
00:28 Kirk Cousins rolling in Cole's cash. It's something that I am very jealous of. I love
00:32 me some Cole's cash. I just have $80 of it from this week spending on my children to
00:37 get them back to school and that $80 is for me, Matt Stryker. You'll learn this as a dad
00:41 as you get older. That Cole's cash, that's for you. That's for you to go get yourself
00:46 something after you spent hundreds of dollars on your children. But I digress. The Minnesota
00:50 Vikings. Kirk Cousins finishes QB 9 last year. Kirk Cousins is QB 12. If you punt on quarterback
00:56 and you end up with Kirk Cousins, you will still have a very good fantasy team. Don't
00:59 forget that. Justin Jefferson. What's there to say? He's the best there is on the planet
01:03 at the wide receiver position. They drafted Jordan Addison. So Jordan Addison, look, there's
01:09 a lot of people in this industry who love Jordan Addison. I respect Jordan Addison's
01:13 ability. I have some questions about Jordan Addison, the guy, not the football player.
01:17 And those questions sometimes, you know, when you, when you start to convert to the NFL,
01:21 it's a very different game. Matt knows this was, this is not college football anymore.
01:25 This is the professional level and the professional level requires you to do certain things a
01:28 certain way. And I'm still going to wait and hold my breath for Jordan Addison to be that
01:33 number two in this offense, because I think the number two target, as I mentioned earlier,
01:37 we were having the ADP wars in case you missed it.
01:40 You can go back and watch obviously on our YouTube or, you know, wherever you, you watch
01:44 your sports grid on the replays, but TJ Hawkinson last year, getting nine targets, 10 targets,
01:50 11 targets, nine targets. You go back on this game log when he came over to the Minnesota
01:54 Vikings, talk about the missing piece. And it's not like TJ Hawkinson is some grizzled
01:58 old veteran. He's only been in the league for a few years and he's had a lot of incomplete
02:02 seasons with some injuries. TJ Hawkins is when that was an Iowa tight end who came in
02:07 and had really high expectations in the lions organization had a great start to his career
02:13 that immediately got hurt.
02:15 And it just looked, they wanted to spend money in different ways. And then they traded him
02:18 into division, which is something I'll never understand. Do you know how hard it is to
02:21 come into a playbook mid season with new personnel and a new quarterback and hit the ground running
02:26 the way Hawkinson did. And now you're giving them a whole off season in this offense, which
02:30 by the way, this, this offense is a complicated one. This is the one they brought over from
02:35 the Los Angeles Rams and McVay offense, right? Some complicated stuff here. And TJ Hawkinson
02:40 is going to have now more time to get better at it.
