Oklahoma WR commit Ivan Carreon talks to AllSooners following Odessa High School's week one matchup against Monterey.

00:03 >> It was good to be back on the field after waiting so long,

00:06 the rest of the whole year and stuff, working in the summer.

00:09 We've always been excited to get back on the field.

00:12 >> So can you walk me through that first touchdown catch,

00:14 kinda what happened on that?

00:16 >> It was just, we had a rock concert on my side, it just got open.

00:19 Might get through a great ball.

00:21 >> And what are you expecting from yourself and your team the rest of the season?

00:25 >> Just to get better throughout week by week, pick each other up.

00:29 Even when we have bad games or breakdowns, just stay together and

00:33 help your brothers out.

00:34 >> Now, kinda shifting to the college side of things,

00:37 what's your relationship like with Emma Jones?

00:39 >> It's good, we're always talking on phone calls and everything, so

00:42 we have a good connection.

00:44 >> And so I know that you were down at the Grand Vanderbilt's camp earlier this

00:48 summer, can you kinda tell me what made you wanna go out there to the camp?

00:51 >> It was just Coach Vanderbilt is the way he is, talking to him and

00:55 knowing Coach Jones since he was at Tech.

00:58 So it's just all the coaches there, they're all really good.

01:03 >> So you mentioned Texas Tech, obviously you used to be committed there,

01:06 you made the change to OU.

01:08 Can you kinda talk to me about that, what went into that decision?

01:12 >> Mainly the coaches, I like Coach Jones a lot, and Coach Vanderbilt,

01:16 he seems like very down to earth guy, honest, so I like him better.

01:21 >> And are you planning on, or

01:23 have you made a decision yet if you're planning on enrolling early or

01:26 waiting until the summer to start?

01:28 >> I'm working on it right now, most likely I'm gonna graduate in December.
