00:00 The former PM of Malaysia, Dr Mahathir Mohamad,

00:08 has been accused of being a non-Malayse political party

00:11 and has contributed to the issue of race.

00:14 He claimed that Mahathir not only divided the Malaysian people,

00:18 but also based the ethnic group in the 22-year administration.

00:21 As a PM, he even made the Malays into two groups,

00:25 namely conservative and liberal.

00:27 He said that the liberal Malays have been the pride of Malaysia

00:31 with a country that is seen as progressive in the international arena

00:34 as well as being an open Muslim country.

00:37 He said that the liberal Malays are now seen as disbelievers and disgusting

00:42 if they are open-minded and have a progressive mind,

00:46 seen as a sin.

00:48 He said that Mahathir only uses the people and religion

00:52 as a means to maintain authoritarian rule.

00:55 On Sunday, Mahathir was reported saying that the party was being accused of being non-Malay

00:59 like the party of the visitors,

01:01 while saying that non-Malays do not want to assimilate with the Malays culture

01:05 and create their own party.
