Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell expects crowd at Ford Field to be loud against Seattle Seahawks.
Transcript
00:00 Donna, what do you make of
00:01 Dan Campbell's comments regarding
00:02 Ford Field on Sunday against the
00:04 Seahawks being louder than it was at
00:07 Arrowhead for the Chiefs contest?
00:08 Yeah, Vito, I expect a capacity crowd.
00:12 A real excited exuberant crowd ready to
00:14 welcome the 2023 edition of the Detroit Lions.
00:17 When you saw the blue wave that
00:19 attended the game against the
00:21 Kansas City Chiefs, it was staggering.
00:23 It was. There was a lot of Detroit
00:26 Lions fans that were there at Arrowhead
00:28 and Dan Campbell noticed as well as
00:30 did the players in the third quarter.
00:32 When Brian Branch recorded the
00:34 interception, there was a loud and
00:36 deafening Let's Go Lions chant that
00:37 started to break out and when the
00:39 Lions were able to actually defeat
00:41 the Chiefs, there were a plethora of
00:43 fans waiting to celebrate with the Lions.
00:45 So this is a football team that's
00:46 quite popular right now.
00:47 Vito, the ticket prices have skyrocketed
00:49 soared, so it's going to cost you a
00:52 pretty penny if you're trying to get
00:54 tickets on the secondary market.
00:55 And for Dan Campbell,
00:56 I do expect that the Ford Field crowd
00:59 is going to impact the Seahawks offense.
01:02 The idea is for fans to be very quiet
01:05 when the Lions offense is working and
01:07 when the Seahawks offense is out there,
01:10 they expect that the fan base will be
01:12 very loud and cheering so that communication
01:15 issues will happen for the Seahawks.
01:18 So I'm very interested to see just how
01:20 excited and loud the fan base will get.
01:23 It's really interesting to see when.
01:26 The fan base now was really
01:28 excited after one and oh start how
01:30 just how excited they're going to be,
01:32 and they're going to be cheering
01:34 very very excitedly loudly and with
01:36 an offense that could potentially
01:37 put up a lot of points.
01:39 You recall last year's game Vito.
01:41 There was a lot of points being scored.
01:43 I don't think it's going to be as
01:45 high scoring as it was last year,
01:47 but I do think that the Ford Field
01:49 crowd is probably good for one or two,
01:52 maybe potential procedural penalties
01:53 that the Seahawks could incur.
01:54 I think that Dan Campbell is right.
01:56 Ford Field when it's loud.
01:58 I was there in attendance several
02:00 years ago when the Bears came to
02:02 town on Monday Night Football and
02:04 when Java best scored that touchdown,
02:06 it was deafening.
02:07 No louder place in the NFL than Ford
02:09 Field when good things happen.
02:11 And for this Sunday,
02:13 there's a great opportunity.
02:14 The Lions fan base,
02:15 the large contingent of of season
02:17 ticket holders are going to have
02:19 a lot to cheer about Vito.
