00:00 On behalf of the General Assembly, I have the honour to welcome His Excellency,
00:03 Ludomir Zelensky, President of Ukraine, and invite him to address the Assembly.
00:09 Ukraine gave up its third largest nuclear arsenal.
00:15 The world then decided Russia should become a keeper of such power.
00:22 Yet history shows it was Russia who deserved nuclear disarmament the most.
00:29 Back in the 1990s.
00:32 And Russia deserves it now.
00:35 Terrorists have no right to hold nuclear weapons.
00:40 No right.
00:41 The mass destruction is gaining its momentum.
00:46 The aggressor is weaponizing many other things.
00:50 And those things are used not only against our country, but against all of yours as well.
00:57 Since the start of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian ports in the Black and Azov seas
01:03 have been blocked by Russia.
01:05 Until now, our ports on the Danube River remain the target for missiles and drones.
01:13 And it is clear Russia's attempt to weaponize the food shortage on the global market in
01:21 exchange for recognition for some, if not all, of the captured territories.
01:29 Russia is launching the food prices as weapons.
01:33 Is there any sense to reduce nuclear weapons when Russia is weaponizing nuclear power plants?
01:41 Scary question.
01:43 The global security architecture offers no response or protection against such a treacherous
01:51 radiation threat.
01:53 And there is no accountability for radiation blackmailers so far.
01:58 And the goal of the present war against Ukraine is to turn our land, our people, our lives,
02:07 our resources into a weapon against you.
02:10 Against the international rules-based order.
02:15 Ukrainian seats in the General Assembly Hall may become empty if Russia succeeds with its
02:25 treachery and aggression.
02:28 While Russia is pushing the world to the final war, Ukraine is doing everything to ensure
02:34 that after Russian aggression, no one in the world will dare to attack any nation.
02:41 Ukraine must be restrained.
02:44 War crimes must be punished.
02:46 Deported people must come back home.
02:50 And the occupier must return to their own land.
02:53 We must be united to make it.
02:56 And we will do it.
02:57 Slava Ukraini!
02:58 (Applause.)
02:59 Thank you so much.
