00:04 Let's start in South Bend, of course, cuz you're going to be there.
00:07 And honestly, for me, it is the biggest game of the week.
00:11 When Ohio State and Notre Dame get together, it's the biggest game.
00:14 And things are a little different for me, Bill, this year.
00:18 Because for once, Notre Dame's coming into this game with the better quarterback.
00:24 And I know that Marcus Freeman was answering questions early in the week
00:27 about Sam, even though he's been playing for six years,
00:32 maybe hasn't played in a game this big before in his career.
00:36 But I don't think that's gonna worry Sam Hartman.
00:39 I think he's been waiting, Bill, to get a moment like this.
00:42 This is why he came to South Bend, to get out of Wake Forest and
00:47 playing a game like this against Ohio State.
00:49 >> 100%, and I mean, that devalues playing in an ACC Championship game, or
00:54 that Clemson game last year, where they went back and forth.
00:57 It was one of the best games of the year.
00:59 And now he steps in and Notre Dame, like you said, this is the first time where I
01:03 would say Notre Dame has the advantage at quarterback on paper.
01:06 Because they've been able to throw the ball down the field.
01:09 They have five different receivers that have 100 yards or more.
01:12 That the downfield passing attack was what got Ohio State last year.
01:17 That's the big thing to watch in this game.
01:19 Can Notre Dame actually throw the ball down the field,
01:22 which they couldn't do last year against Ohio State?
01:25 And they couldn't really run the ball.
01:27 And it was still an 11 point game.
01:28 So it makes it high theater, the green jerseys, the green pants.
01:33 It's gonna be a lot of fun.
01:35 And on the other side, I think Ohio State, had they not got going a little bit last
01:40 week and scored 28 points in half a quarter of play,
01:43 I think they would be a little more worried in Columbus than they are.
01:46 >> I was gonna go there next, what about this kid McCord and their offense so far?
01:53 I know that they finally busted it out, I guess you could say,
01:56 last week against Western Kentucky.
01:58 But it's been a very slow start for them.
02:02 And this isn't common for Ryan Day since he's been there.
02:05 And I'm gonna get to this later with Saban as well.
02:08 This is the first time in a while they don't have a high level quarterback,
02:12 at least at the beginning, running the offense in Columbus for Ohio State.
02:17 >> Well, he got comfortable the last two weeks at home.
02:20 And there's always home cooking at Ohio State.
02:22 They play so well in the shoe.
02:24 And 29 and 32 on passes of 10 yards or less.
02:29 And that's something to watch in this game because outside of that,
02:32 it hasn't been as good.
02:34 So conventional wisdom would say, they get in this game,
02:37 Kyle McCord's throwing short, Dinkin and Duncan.
02:40 I actually think they might go the other way.
02:42 Like I think early in the game, look for a couple deep shots to Marvin Harrison,
02:46 who by the way, fills my timeline every week with an 80 yard touchdown.
02:50 Because he's averaging 21.7 yards per catch.
02:53 Nobody can guard that guy.
02:54 That's the other game within the game.
02:56 It's not just who covers Marvin Harrison.
02:58 It's how they cover Marvin Harrison in this offense.
03:01 >> Do you think that the Irish win it on Saturday night at home?
03:06 >> So you're gonna ask that from an Ohio kid who went to a Catholic school from 12
03:12 years, so I'm not allowed to lie.
03:13 And I'm gonna pick the Buckeyes here.
03:16 I think the Buckeyes win by a touchdown.
03:18 Notre Dame's going to make it interesting.
03:20 It's going to be a ton of fun seeing them in the green jerseys, like I said.
03:24 But I just think Ohio State's been in this spot more often.
03:27 And they're looking to reaffirm that.
03:29 Now on the flip side, if the Buckeyes lose, I can't imagine the heat on
03:35 Ryan Day heading into the later games against Penn State,
03:38 who will be playing Saturday night.
03:39 And Michigan, who plays Rutgers in a game that I think
03:43 gonna be a little closer than people expect on Saturday.
