00:02 >> There's six point favorites this week against the Carolina Panthers who
00:06 are expected to not have Bryce Young.
00:08 Young is a rookie and
00:09 Warren hasn't looked particularly good at the start of the season.
00:13 The total is 42 in this game.
00:16 Is it just easy enough to look at Seattle and lay six?
00:20 Do they really characterize as a team that should be a touchdown favorite in
00:24 this season of the NFL?
00:26 Or do you think that yeah, they just blow them out?
00:29 >> So the mood is obviously down on the Carolina Panthers in large part because
00:34 of Bryce Young, their national TV short week off the Monday night loss.
00:39 Where they really were not in that game, got back into the game late.
00:44 Thanks to the Saints botching a few things and
00:48 their quarterback not playing very well.
00:51 Like Derek Carr typically does at times,
00:53 especially down inside the red zone, could not convert.
00:55 But the mood is down on the Carolina Panthers.
00:59 But now they get Andy Dalton.
01:00 And the difference that I think Andy Dalton potentially makes,
01:03 even if you wanna say, and I don't agree with this philosophy.
01:05 But even if you wanna say that these two quarterbacks are dead even in terms of
01:11 ability right now, dead even.
01:13 The fact of the matter is that there's gonna be more confidence for
01:16 this coaching staff to give more to Andy Dalton to work with.
01:20 A bigger menu of ingredients to choose from to figure out how to make that meal
01:25 in Seattle, to figure out what to do when the defenses are bringing this pressure.
01:29 Or to figure out what plays to get into.
01:32 And it's just gonna be that experience factor is gonna allow the ceiling for
01:36 this office of the Panthers to be higher than it would have been with Bryce Young.
01:40 And then there's the element that maybe Andy Dalton is a little bit further along
01:44 in terms of his ability right now than Bryce Young.
01:47 Bryce Young might exceed him, of course.
01:48 But right now, Andy Dalton could be that guy.
01:51 And you look at the defense of the Seattle Seahawks team, they are struggling.
01:55 They have forced a punt on just 10%, two of 20 opponent drives.
01:59 They have a lot of first down or touchdown on 46%.
02:02 Both of these are the worst rates in the NFL.
02:05 I think that the Panthers offense should have a little bit more success here.
02:08 My main concern, Craig, is the defensive side of the ball.
02:12 You lose JC Horn, you lose Shaq Thompson.
02:15 These are two key components of the Carolina Panthers defense.
02:18 We know the upside of the Seattle Seahawks offense.
02:21 They can put up points.
02:22 They do have depth at the receiver position.
02:24 So that part is going to require a little bit of faith.
02:27 But that line now has actually dropped this morning down to 5.5.
02:31 So Carolina money is coming into the market.
02:34 It got as high as 6.5 when the news was breaking about Bryce Young possibly missing.
02:39 And then some people started scratching their heads and thinking,
02:41 "Is this really a bad thing? Why should we be getting 6.5?"
02:44 And now that line is back down to 5.5.
