The southwest monsoon, known locally as “habagat,” is expected to bring rains and thunderstorms to Metro Manila, parts of Southern Luzon, and some areas of Western Visayas over the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday, Aug. 17.

03:29We expect it to be the same for Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa.
03:33For the surrounding cities in Visayas, Iloilo, Cebu, and Tacloban,
03:38the maximum temperature will be 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:44For Cagayan de Oro, the maximum temperature will be 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:48For Metro Davao, the maximum temperature will be 26 to 34 degrees Celsius.
03:52For Zamboanga, the maximum temperature will be 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:59As for the condition of our ocean,
