Dog was dumped because he has allergies

00:09 It's just one of those things I wasn't looking. I was just scrolling through my Instagram account,

00:13 he popped up on this local rescue. The Rhode Island SPCA stole our card and he became one

00:18 of our family. I foster probably well over 20 kittens. I always say he fosters the kittens for

00:25 me. Almost every month I was getting a litter of kittens, anywhere from three to six kittens at a

00:32 time. And Rocky just loves them. He's so good with them. One of the kittens, the calico one,

00:39 everybody kept passing her up and she just seemed to love Rocky. She was always wanting to be near

00:44 him, always wanted to touch him, always wanted to lay near him. It was just great to see because

00:49 he's so gentle with them and he's just a big dog. There was an orange cat, Cheddar,

00:58 which my son fell in love with, so he ended up adopting that kitten.

01:02 It just kind of worked out that both these kittens that we adopted, they're so close to him.

01:10 They always want to be near him. Everybody's always afraid of these types of dogs and they're

01:14 like, "They're so mean and they're going to hurt." I'm like, "No, he's so gentle."

01:18 He looks like Gizmo from Gremlins.

01:26 He's got very expressive ears.

01:32 He's got a full set of teeth, but his teeth are very small and it looks like he's missing a few.

01:44 He has environmental allergies and food allergies. And I said, "You know what? It's fine. I can deal

01:50 with it. He doesn't eat commercial food. He goes to a holistic veterinarian and she's great." We

01:55 have pinpointed pretty much everything at this point. He's just one of those dogs that once

01:59 in a lifetime just changes everything. We adopted him in 2019. I haven't gone on a vacation since I

02:11 got him. I'm like, "We've got to go somewhere where he has to come with us because I don't

02:14 want to leave him." I tell him he's the best decision I made. He made our family whole and

02:19 life only gets better with him in it. He's somebody that I would do anything for.
