00:00 The National Festival of the Civil Economy in Florence officially begins,
00:04 which for this fifth edition has received the medal of the President of the Republic.
00:09 The prestigious recognition of the Head of State Sergio Mattarella
00:13 has marked the demonstrations of particular relevance for the issues addressed.
00:18 The theme of this edition is a new way of conceiving relations
00:24 and our ability to intervene as a community to increase well-being
00:29 and the sustainability of our territories, exceeding individual limits.
00:34 Beyond the limits, the commitment that transforms us is the theme of the fifth edition,
00:39 which aims to provide sustainable, civil and participatory answers
00:44 to the shocks and global challenges in the era of artificial intelligence
00:49 and major social transformations.
00:52 From climate crises to the exploitation and increase of inequalities
00:57 that can generate social conflicts.
01:00 What can be the mission of the National Festival of the Civil Economy this year?
01:05 We want to emphasize that to face and overcome these shocks
01:08 there is also a need for our action from the ground up, for our participation,
01:12 and therefore making it clear that there is a relational intelligence
01:16 which is the secret of the success of some of our territories.
01:20 Co-design, co-programming, collaboration between profit, non-profit and public
01:25 are the way to face these problems as best as possible.
01:28 Instruction as a key to overcome inequalities and social injustices
01:33 for a popular school capable of speaking and giving voice to everyone.
01:38 I hope that the civil economy can soon say words about civil organization,
01:45 not just about the economy in a broad sense.
01:47 What does it mean to be a company capable of common good,
01:51 not just the economy as a whole?
01:53 I hope that a new perspective on the business level will open up soon,
01:58 that is, how to transform companies in a way that can work in the 21st century.
02:05 Italian society is changing under our eyes.
02:08 I believe that the new influxes of immigrants, of new Italians, I want to call them,
02:14 can only be positive for us, because they will certainly enrich us,
02:19 but not only on an economic level, because they will pay our future pensions.
02:23 We put the Italian boys in a relationship with their fellow immigrants,
02:30 and I believe that this goes in the sense of heterogeneity, of promiscuity.
02:36 We believe a lot in the relationship between people.
02:39 Starting from a more modern point of view,
02:41 the young generations and good practices that are already creating social value
02:45 by responding to the macroeconomic and social challenges of our times.
02:49 This and much more will be addressed in the meetings of the National Festival of Civil Economy,
02:55 which is being held from today until Sunday, October 1.
02:59 October.
