00:03 On the flip side, look in their name offense, they're scoring offenses 18th.
00:07 If you look at the competition they've played,
00:10 they've played two pretty good defenses so far.
00:12 The Ohio State defense has been outstanding so far this season.
00:16 The NC State defense has also been pretty good this season.
00:19 Obviously, they gave up, was it 20, was it 21 points to Virginia,
00:25 who's honestly not very good.
00:28 But it's not like they just got ran up and down by the Virginia the whole game.
00:33 So their defense is very good.
00:36 They gave up 273 to UConn.
00:39 A lot of that was on one play.
00:41 They gave 384 to Virginia and a couple of plays in that game as well,
00:45 held VMI at 191.
00:46 Their aim went for 456, 7.5 per play.
00:50 The next worst performance by NC State was 5.4 against Virginia.
00:54 So they played that defense, which was pretty good.
00:56 And then of course, they played Ohio State, who currently ranks second in
01:00 college football in scoring defense at 8.5 per game.
01:04 And Notre Dame only scored 14 points.
01:06 So the defense that most resembles the Duke Blue Devils statistically is Ohio State.
01:13 And Notre Dame had by far their worst offensive output of the season,
01:17 held under 400 yards, held only 14 points.
01:20 All of it came in the second half and
01:22 wasn't able to move the ball enough to win the football game.
01:24 So it's gonna be a chance for the Notre Dame offense to show something.
01:28 Dive into that a little bit more here as we get into the more specific matchup.
01:31 Notre Dame yards per game, they're about similar.
01:33 Yards per play, they're very similar.
01:35 Red zone offense, they're both, it kind of flips where Notre Dame only ranks 40th
01:40 in red zone offense, and Duke ranks 40th in touchdown percentage.
01:45 Then Notre Dame ranks sixth in touchdown rate, Duke ranks second overall.
01:50 But what this basically means is when Notre Dame gets into the red zone,
01:53 they are scoring touchdowns.
01:55 Notre Dame ranks sixth in college football in touchdown,
01:58 red zone touchdown percentage.
02:00 They have only turned a ball over twice this season, so
02:02 they're playing a good team force as turnovers.
02:04 They have not turned it over.
02:05 They're playing one of the best defenses in the country and limiting big plays.
02:09 And Notre Dame is one of the best big play teams in the country.
