00:10 My condolences to the Buckus family, my deepest sympathies to them.
00:16 I had several chances to visit with Dick during the time that I've been here.
00:22 And it's always great talking to him,
00:25 he's one of my idols growing up being a linebacker.
00:30 And we had some good talks about reading keys and a lot of different things.
00:34 But again, my condolences to the family for sure there.
00:39 Guys did a nice job of sticking together during our adversity.
00:44 And I told them the reason we could do that is because of the relationships we've built in the building.
00:50 And the guys have always been tight, always been determined,
00:53 and super excited about that.
00:55 Just it's really the fruits of the labor, right?
00:59 It's guys sticking together, guys working hard during practice,
01:03 and now they see results from it.
01:05 It gets frustrating with the players, and I understand that.
01:08 And I've talked to every one of them about that.
01:09 I said I understand the frustration, but you have to stay positive.
01:14 Your eyes have always got to be forward.
01:16 This is going to be no different.
01:18 I'm going to get in there on Monday, I'm going to say,
01:20 hey guys, there's corrections here that need to be made.
01:22 How you get better as a football team is make those corrections, okay,
01:26 and get better from your performance.
01:28 If you win by 20 or you lost by 3, that's what it is.
01:32 That's how we're going to get better as a team.
01:34 I saw Poise the entire time.
01:36 You can see him being comfortable in the pocket, going through his reads,
01:41 delivering the ball on time, but that takes everybody.
01:44 It takes the receivers, being in the right spot.
01:47 It takes the protection, and that's what I saw.
01:50 My favorite play of the day was when he scrambled and slid at the end
01:54 because that was very smart, me being a defensive guy,
01:58 to get the clock out of there, whittle the clock down, but excellent job.
02:03 Jim Orr is going to be a big story.
02:05 You saw his skill and talent level out there today.
02:09 Just an amazing player, and Justin did a really good job of feeding him today.
02:16 I thought that was really, really nice.
02:18 The offense operated good at the end.
02:21 To close out games, you're going to have to make plays to finish the game,
02:25 and that's the big thing we needed.
02:27 We built some momentum last week.
02:29 This is a whole new group that we have, a lot of rookies,
02:34 and we've got a lot of free agents that are coming together,
02:36 and we felt that momentum building last week,
02:39 and we just needed to finish better.
02:41 We were plus 2 today, so that was a big part of it.
02:44 They did a good job of taking the ball away.
02:47 Strowman's interception was outstanding.
02:49 We were in a coverage that dictates him to follow that guy inside there like that,
02:52 and he did a nice job of stepping in front of it.
02:55 So that was really good.
02:56 Then, really, Smitty's will.
02:58 He just ruled it to happen, and the guys stayed up
03:02 and did a great job of raking the ball out and then recovering it.
03:05 So it was really, really good.
