00:00 Hello there, Saturday has certainly felt very different depending on whether you've been
00:04 in the North or the South of the UK. We've seen almost a 20 degree Celsius difference
00:10 in our temperatures. Heat from North Africa and continental Europe has allowed temperatures
00:14 to climb around 25 degrees Celsius across southern areas of England, but places like
00:20 Balmoral and Bremar in Scotland haven't seen much higher than six degrees Celsius. It's
00:25 felt very cold underneath the clouds and rain here, and with northerly winds pushing their
00:30 way down as well. The rain that has been across Scotland will continue throughout this evening
00:35 and overnight. Very persistent and heavy pulses are once again possible, with further travel
00:40 disruption likely in places and an amber weather warning is still in force. Some particularly
00:44 heavy rain could push its way into the Outer Hebrides as we head towards the early hours
00:48 of Sunday morning as well. A lot of cloud pushing into eastern counties of England,
00:53 and western fog forming along southern areas of England and Wales as well. A relatively
00:57 mild night for most of us, around 11 to 14 degrees Celsius. Might see something a touch
01:02 fresher underneath the clearer skies towards the south west, but particularly in the north
01:06 east where that colder air mass really does cling on throughout much of the night. The
01:12 rain will continue across northern Scotland as we head throughout Sunday as well. The
01:15 area that has pushed into the Outer Hebrides will then move its way into the Highlands,
01:19 reaching Moray and Aberdeenshire as well throughout the day. Localised flooding and disruption
01:24 is once again possible, so do continue to take care throughout the day. A drier day
01:28 elsewhere, a lot of the cloud will be a bit stubborn to clear the eastern side of England
01:33 first thing, but some brighter spells developing later on. And then for Northern Ireland, central
01:37 southern areas of England and Wales as well. A number of sunny spells developing into the
01:41 afternoon and that will again allow temperatures to climb, seeing 24 degrees, maybe 25 degrees
01:47 once again in the south east. Usually we'd be around 16 degrees Celsius across southern
01:52 areas of England at this point in October and more around 12 degrees as well across
01:57 areas of Scotland. So central southern areas of Scotland seeing a little bit of a milder
02:02 day tomorrow now that that heat is just able to push its way slightly further northwards,
02:07 but still a bit cool across the very far north and east. The rain here will slowly abate
02:13 as we head into Sunday evening and overnight. Still some heavy pulses initially, but eventually
02:18 turning lighter, patchier and a bit more drizzly in nature as we head throughout the night.
02:23 Further drizzle is possible elsewhere, particularly as we start to see some cloud push its way
02:26 into areas of the Irish Sea, turning quite murky for northwest England, parts of Wales,
02:32 southwest England as well. Generally the clearest spells further towards the south and east
02:36 as we start off Monday morning. But once again, that mild air is still in place, so temperatures
02:40 won't be dropping too far at all. Most of our towns and cities holding up well in double
02:45 digit figures. As we start off Monday, then it will be western areas that now see the
02:51 legacy of the cloud, and that will be quite slow to clear throughout the day. Could linger
02:55 along some coasts of the Irish Sea and perhaps Northern Ireland areas of Scotland as well
03:00 throughout much of the day. Best of any of the sunshine, perhaps the Scottish borders
03:04 down into Northumberland as well as central southeastern areas of England and Wales. Still
03:09 low temperatures climbing towards 23 degrees Celsius, well above par for the time of year.
03:14 As well, Northern Ireland 18 degrees Celsius, central eastern areas of Scotland 15 or 16
03:19 degrees Celsius as well. Not all of us, though, will hold on to the heat as we head throughout
03:25 the rest of the week, because there are signs that a rain band will push its way from in
03:29 the northwest towards the southeast as we head throughout the week. And behind that,
03:32 we'll start to see some fresher conditions moving their way in as well. So the mild air
03:37 may hold on a bit more in the south, but eventually could turn a bit cooler here as well. But
03:41 we'll provide further updates on all of that as we head over the next few days. So make
03:46 sure you're following us across all of our social media channels and we'll be back again
03:49 very soon. Bye bye.
