Bears Defense Sees Beginning of Turnaround

Jaylon Johnson and T.J. Edwards see a defensive turnaround occurring but more turnarounds and a pass rush are needed.

00:32 Cuz I mean, I'm gonna go out there and my biggest thing is dominating.

00:35 No matter who it is, I tell the front, the linebackers, be you and dominate.

00:38 Go out there, be confident, fly around and do what we know we can do.

00:41 And that's been the biggest thing for us this year is we know we have

00:44 high level guys that can play this game at a high level.

00:46 And we haven't set that bar yet.

00:49 So I mean, for us, it was just coming in and dominating and

00:52 getting back to who we know we can.

00:54 >> Confidence and swagging about us.

00:56 I thought people were just flying around.

00:58 It's like ball snapping, there's just missiles going everywhere.

01:00 So it's like you love that, you love being part of a team like that.

01:03 I thought we tried to dictate the tempo as much as we could.

01:07 So that's, I give props to our coach for putting us in a good spot to win.

01:10 So we're trying to force that issue for sure.

01:13 Again, I think it's such a big emphasis for us.

01:15 It's something where we work so hard on.

01:18 It'll be something, I think that it's the most detailed in that we do.

01:23 So eventually you keep doing those things, you keep chopping.

01:27 >> So I don't think there's a clear answer to just how you get ready emotionally.

01:31 I mean, you got a job to do individually.

01:33 I mean, you get caught up in something else.

01:35 And I fought the quarterback situation and emotions and you don't got time for that.

01:40 And I mean, with us, considering where we're at in the season, I mean,

01:44 emotions is the last thing we worry about.

01:45 We gotta figure out ways to win games.

01:47 So I mean, it's not like we were just five on one with our starting quarterback.

01:51 So I mean, we still got things to figure out, no matter who's in that position.

01:56 And I mean, we've had some injuries.

01:58 So I mean, guys, regardless of what position it is, gotta step up and

02:01 continue to raise the bar and continue to do better and execute and find ways to win.
