00:00 All right, everybody. Welcome back. It is Friday again with me, Mike Kadlec from WEI,
00:05 joined by Taylor Kiles from CLNS Media here on Patriots Press Pass, like we do every single
00:12 Friday and weekend heading into the NFL slate, bringing you six games to bet on,
00:17 courtesy of, or odds courtesy of FanDuel, but the segment is powered by OddsR. If you head over to
00:23 oddsr.com/presspass, you will get a 30-day free trial of OddsR. What is OddsR? Like I've said
00:30 every week here, it is basically what me and Taylor do here, but it's an actual AI machine
00:35 computer that tells you what to bet, what not to bet on. They'll give you the green light,
00:39 means go, take the bet. Yellow light says maybe, red light, stay away. It's real simple. They'll
00:45 give you the best advice over at OddsR for all of your betting needs. So we're going to start here,
00:50 like I said, rifling through six games of the week, and we will start with the New England
00:55 Patriots. Our New England Patriots, the Patriots are eight and a half point underdogs according
01:01 to FanDuel. The total is 40 and a half. And if you really think the Patriots are going to upset
01:06 the Bills at home, you can get them at plus 330 on the money line. So Taylor, we've been down there
01:12 all week catching the vibe of the team. Obviously you've been studying the crap out of the Bills
01:18 with the old Anthony Cover One over there. You guys have done great work. You can check that out
01:23 here on Patriots Press House as well if you haven't already. But with what you've seen from this team,
01:28 with what you've seen with the Bills team, obviously the Patriots have a lengthy injury
01:32 report so far this week and things aren't going great. They've lost three straight. There's
01:38 whispers of Bill Belichick and Mac Jones and resetting and trade deadline. And long story
01:45 short, it's not good. So what do you make of this matchup? Can they do the upset? Can they make the
01:49 upset? And yeah, do you think they have any chance at all? It's hard to say they do when Josh Allen's
01:57 kind of owned them in recent history. He's like four and oh in their past four games. But at the
02:01 same time, I guess maybe as I've talked to Anthony, I'm starting to think maybe there is a chance
02:06 because the Bills have been pretty inconsistent this year. Like we've seen Josh Allen, like evil
02:10 Josh Allen come out. They'll see good Josh Allen come out like against the Dolphins. And then the
02:16 defense obviously lost two incredible players in Matt Milano and Tredavious White. That's,
02:21 you know, their version of losing Christian Gonzalez and Matthew Judon, like massive,
02:26 massive loss on that side of the ball. And they're pretty inconsistent on defense. They're
02:30 very boomer bust. So they generate a ton of takeaways. They're very disruptive up front.
02:35 They have a lot of tackles for loss, no gain, all those, you know, all that good stuff. But
02:38 at the same time, they give up a lot of big plays. Like you can pick on Kier Elam, who was one of
02:43 their more coveted picks a couple of years ago. Other defensive front is very aggressive. And as
02:47 Patriots fans have seen, you know, in the past, they've used a lot of those whams and traps where
02:52 you get a tight end or a guard coming and the defensive tackle thinks he's just got free reign
02:57 up the field and then just gets ear hold. So they can be had if you're patient and you keep the game
03:03 closing and actually run the ball. So I think if the Patriots can establish a ground game, I think
03:08 that the chances are going to be pretty good that they stay in the game and the defense, you know,
03:12 the bend but don't break thing. Like as long as they don't let Josh Allen throw over their heads,
03:16 much easier said than done. I think the Patriots might be able to keep it relatively close.
03:20 But I also want to keep it head and out.
03:22 - Eight and a half points spread. What do you think?
03:25 - Oh yeah. I, oh man.
03:27 - Put you on the spot here.
03:28 - I'm going to give it to the, I'd say take the Bills still. Like I, I think the Patriots have
03:34 to show me more than what they've shown me. They had their best offensive showing last week,
03:37 but even still Mack Jones like should have had two turnovers, had one, one should have been a pick
03:42 six to close out the game. So yeah, I'm going to go with Buffalo, but I will say there's a chance
03:47 for the Patriots.
03:48 - All right. I like it. I'm with you. I think, yeah, I know that, you know, like you said,
03:54 evil Josh Allen, me and my friends call it 2017, 2018 Josh Allen, whereas a rookie, he would just,
04:00 you know, try and light the world on fire and make some, some boneheaded mistake. But the thing is,
04:05 and you mentioned it being four and O in their last four, I think he's five and one in his last
04:09 six against this team. Like he owns the Patriots and that Josh Allen rarely ever comes out against
04:14 this team. Everyone talks about the, you know, Bill Belichick takes away their best weapon and
04:19 makes it beat everyone else. Like that doesn't happen against this Buffalo team, Josh Allen and
04:22 Stefan Diggs smoke them. And they've smoked them the last six times they faced each other,
04:27 even in the loss in the wind game. Like that was, I mean, that was sort of the anomaly here,
04:32 that the Bill's on the Patriots. And you said it, what we've seen from this Patriots team the last
04:37 three weeks, even though they did keep it relatively competitive against the Raiders,
04:41 at the end of the day, they still didn't beat the Raiders. They've lost their last three.
04:44 Until I see a difference, I got to take the opponent as well. So I think Bill's minus eight
04:49 and a half. And I don't know how much this Patriots team is going to score again either,
04:53 because you talk about that, that front at Oliver, AJ at Vanessa, obviously Leonard Floyd
04:57 is an addition this year. Von Miller's comes back from PUP that we really, if we talk about
05:02 Von Miller, because he hasn't been around yet, but he can dominate a game and he can muck up a game
05:06 too. So I like the Bill's minus eight and a half. I also like the under 40 and a half, because I
05:12 don't think the Patriots are going to score a lot of points. I don't think they're going to have to
05:15 going to be able to get it going against that Bill's front. So let's move on to game two.
05:21 We have chargers at chiefs at Arrowhead stadium. I don't know if we know if Taylor Swift is going
05:27 to be in the building yet. However, her friends from L actually she's from New York. She's not
05:32 even really an LA girl, but yeah, yeah, exactly. I'm walking here. The LA chargers are coming to
05:39 town. Chiefs minus four, minus five and a half, excuse me, at FanDuel. The total is a little
05:45 higher than obviously the Bill's game, Patriots game 47 and a half. We saw the chargers on Monday
05:52 night against the Cowboys. Justin Herbert still makes all the throws, still tries to make all the
05:58 plays, but somehow some way the kid can't really get it done in the end. I don't know if that's
06:03 a coaching thing. I don't know if that's a him not being able to, you know, get over said hump,
06:08 or if it's a little bit in the middle, because he does have a decent OC with him and Kelly Moore.
06:12 He does have the weapons, but it seems like Brandon Staley sort of gets in his own way there.
06:16 Obviously we know the chiefs, probably the best team in football, them and the 49ers,
06:22 obviously. So these games always tend to be close, you know, division rivalry, especially at Arrowhead,
06:28 the chargers usually show up there. So five and a half points spread for the chiefs. What do you
06:32 make of the matchup in the AFC West? I think this is a chiefs game. You know, I think the Cowboys are
06:38 a solid team. They're a better defense and they are, I think a team and Dak Prescott obviously
06:42 put the team on his back when he needed to. But at the same time, like you said, for some reason,
06:47 they, the chargers can't close out games. And I think the chiefs have a really, really good young
06:51 defense on top of all the magic they can make with her, with, with Kelsey and with Mahomes and the
06:57 chargers play a lot of zone. And I think it's literally like 90% of Travis Kelsey's production
07:02 this year has been against some coverage. So, yeah, I mean, these are teams I'm like super,
07:07 super familiar with, so I I'm not going to get deep into the weeds. I'm just going to go with
07:10 what I know. And what I know is I think the chiefs are going to handle business pretty thoroughly.
07:14 Yeah, I'm with you. I think you talk about it too. I mean, that's, that's the perfect way to
07:18 sum this thing up is, you know, that that's own coverage that I'm playing the most versus
07:22 Travis Kelsey where from, you know, not an outsider, but like sort of the outside looking in,
07:27 you turn on and watch a chiefs game and you see Travis Kelsey in the middle of the field wide
07:32 open. And it's like, why aren't they covering that guy? It's like, well, they're trying to,
07:36 he just beats the crap out of his own coverage and they just know how to read it. And they have that,
07:39 you know, I swear to God, my homes and Kelsey have some sort of telepathy on the field because
07:44 they are always on the same page. They're always working. Clearly they put in the work.
07:48 As far as the spread I do, I think the chiefs are going to win the game. I think you're right.
07:54 We've seen it from the charges that they can't really close it out, but they do keep it close.
07:58 And these games always do end up close. I think last year, even there was, you know,
08:03 what comes to mind is that one play when Justin Herbert, like completely broken ribs, somehow
08:08 still, you know, fired a deep post to Deandre Carter right on the chest. And they ended up
08:13 like keeping it within a field goal or may might even on the game. So these teams show up,
08:17 Herbert shows out. They're more of in a must win mode, I think, than the chiefs are here.
08:22 So I don't know if they'll win, but I do think they'll cover five and a half. And I also like
08:25 the over 47 and a half. I think in these spots, these teams score points. Each team could easily
08:31 score 25, 28 here. So I'm going to go with somebody scored 25 points. Yeah, it's crazy,
08:38 right? You know, actual offense getting the end zone. It's it's something to see if you turn on
08:43 NFL football outside of the New England Patriots. So I'm going to go chargers plus five and a half,
08:48 and I'm going to take the over 47 and a half. You can do both of those at fan dual sportsbook. So
08:53 right now we are going to take a moment and listen to them. Give us a word.

10:01 there. Moving on here. We have the Pittsburgh Steelers taking on the Los Angeles Rams at home
10:07 at SoFi, uh, Rams staying out there this weekend. Rams are minus three on the spread minus one 78
10:15 on the money line. You get the Steelers at plus one 50, if you so choose. And that total is at 43
10:21 and a half. Uh, the Steelers coming off the bi-week. They also get Deontay Johnson back
10:25 this week. Um, I believe his practice window has been open and he could come back as soon
10:30 as this weekend. So Kenny Pickett getting one of his guys back, uh, the LA Rams,
10:35 they obviously have Cooper cup back at Stafford is throwing the ball as well as anybody. He always
10:40 does that. I mean, we talk about Stafford almost every week here on the show. Taylor, I mean,
10:44 that guy's a stud when he's healthy, when him and McVay are on, when him and Cooper copper on that
10:49 offense can just hum and they can, even if they don't score, you know, sometimes it's almost like
10:54 it kind of feels my homes and Kelsey S where like, they'll go three, four or five drives without
10:59 scoring. And it's all of a sudden backs against the wall. It's like, Oh, okay, let's just go bang,
11:02 bang, bang and score a touchdown. So, um, those guys obviously legit. Um, I'm kind of surprised
11:07 that this is only a three point spread. I know the Rams are three and three and have struggled a
11:11 little bit, but, um, I'm going to give my pick first. I think I like the Rams here. Um, just,
11:16 you know, again, just talking it over in my head here. I think Steelers coming off a buy is tough
11:20 because coaches like Mike Tomlin, like Andy Reed, um, used to be like Bill Belichick come off of by
11:26 get right week and sort of, you know, get in on the action. But, um, I don't know about the Steelers
11:32 this year. I know we've sort of talked about them a bunch, um, falling in love with Kenny Pickett,
11:38 liking them and then sort of falling off. So, um, I like the Rams here minus three and a half,
11:42 but what do you make of the matchup with Pittsburgh coming off the by heading to LA
11:46 and taking on the Los Angeles Rams? Yeah, man, I'm not putting my faith in Pittsburgh.
11:50 They scored, I'll say they scored 10 points last week. They scored six points against the Texans.
11:56 It's not been a great season for them. Uh, even with the by week and also the Rams, I love Matt
12:01 Stafford, as you said. Um, and also they have a really good run. They have a really good running
12:06 game, pretty good defense. This is another one. I'm not going to overthink. I think this is,
12:09 this is Rams. Yeah. And the only thing you mentioned the run, the run, um,
12:14 the run offense with, uh, you met, you said run offense for the Rams, right?
12:18 Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So I didn't, I couldn't remember who said defense because Kyron Williams is also
12:22 out. Um, however, and I think Ronnie rivers, their backup is also nursing something, but that's sort
12:28 of a McVay Shanahan, Lafleur, whoever you want to call it, plug and play Mike McDaniel plug and play
12:36 running back system where, um, it's up to the blocks, it's up to the scheme and whoever they
12:41 throw back there can get, you know, besides cam acres, apparently in LA, everyone, anyone can get,
12:46 you know, three to five yards of pop and, and help Matt Stafford, uh, in that situation.
12:50 So I I'm with you, you're right. Don't overthink it. I think LA, um, three or more seems, you know,
12:56 again, it kind of feels like a, uh, uh, tricky line from, from the betting angle where it's like,
13:02 Oh, why is this only three points in Pittsburgh? Somehow squeaks one out. But again, you're right.
13:06 Don't overthink it. That's, that's me overthinking it here. I think LA wins. Um, they could win by
13:10 10 or more. I like their offense much more than Pittsburgh's offense. So moving on Arizona
13:16 Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks out on the West coast, the Seahawks are seven and a half point
13:21 favorites. Uh, the total is 44 and a half Cardinals are three to one plus 300 on the money line at
13:28 FanDuel. Um, Cardinals getting Kyler Murray back this week at practice. Anyway, he opened his 21
13:35 day window to return from injured reserve after tearing his ACL, uh, last season. Apparently he
13:41 was full go at practice according to Jonathan Gannon. So look, I don't know if he'll come back
13:46 this week. I feel like they'll probably let him ease back into this a little bit more, even though
13:50 they didn't give him an injury designation of practice. Um, so I think they'll still roll with
13:53 Josh Dodds. Um, Cardinals kind of a frisky team, but also just like a bad team. I keep using that
14:01 word frisky on here. I think frisky pairs perfectly with gambling. Cause I think it's, you know, you,
14:08 you go from a team that you think is, you know, a dog crap team like the Cardinals.
14:12 And then they all of a sudden, uh, bang one out and, you know, win a game against, you know,
14:16 the Seahawks, a division game like, like this weekend, but, uh, Gino still Gino Seahawks are,
14:21 you know, despite losing last weekend, I think they're, you know, a solid team that plays
14:26 competitive against just about everybody. Um, a, and again, another NFC West rivalry matchup here
14:32 that, you know, it's anyone's game really. And in most division games, including again, this,
14:37 this Buffalo bills Patriots game this weekend. So having said that seven and a half points spread,
14:43 uh, Cardinals at Seahawks, what do you think? Do you think the Seahawks cover? Do you think
14:47 the Cardinals can upset them? I think the Seahawks cover, I'm not gonna lie. These are
14:52 another two teams where like, I'm not doing a whole lot of deep dives into them, but I love me
14:56 some Gino Smith. I know there were like certain rookies that tackle last game and still did pretty
15:00 well. Um, and they got a good defense. So yeah, I'm going to go Seahawks. I think, uh, I think
15:05 they cover, I think they cover. Okay. Um, I'm going to take the Cardinals with the points.
15:10 I think seven and a half, uh, you know, a two possession game, you got to win by a fear Seahawks
15:14 to cover. I think, um, Cardinals, like again, they, they can keep it close here. They can,
15:20 you know, muck it up a little bit with, you know, some of their, the weapons they have and
15:23 no Hollywood Brown. Look, look, he's struggling. He hasn't been great since he left Baltimore,
15:27 but that's a guy who you get them ball in space and he can roll Josh Dobbs to like,
15:31 look, if thinking about the Cleveland Browns right now with PJ Walker getting a win against
15:38 San Francisco, I think in Deshaun Watson's obviously hurt, but Josh Dobbs for, uh,
15:45 was it Tennessee last season? You know, finished the season and got them into the playoffs,
15:49 goes to Cleveland, gets cut for Dorian Thompson Robinson, then DTR stinks. So then Josh Dobbs
15:54 goes to Arizona. He's playing pretty well. If Josh Dobbs was with Cleveland Browns right now,
16:00 I don't know if they would even turn back to Dejaun Watson. That guy's pretty good. Like that
16:03 guy can play ball. You plug them into a system and he just kind of rolls. So, um, I think they
16:07 can keep it close here in Seattle. I don't know if they'll win. It feels like, um, a little bit
16:12 of wishful thinking there for Arizona to win this one, but I do, I think they can keep it close.
16:16 So I'm going to go seven and a half plus seven and a half Cardinals. And, uh, I'm going to take
16:20 the over 44 and a half to, I trust those offenses to put up some points here. So, um, let's listen
16:26 to our friends over at factor meals before we finish this show off here. You fall season already

17:52 Press pass 50, 50% off, go do it. I know Taylor's all in on the factor meals. I haven't got my hands
18:00 on them yet, but they're pretty solid from what I hear. So again, go to a factor meals, get 50%
18:06 off with cold press pass. Let's round this thing out. Taylor, we got Sunday night football and
18:12 Monday night football to get to. Let's start with Sunday night first and we'll keep it in the AFC
18:16 East. The Miami dolphins are heading to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. Eagles are two and a half
18:22 point favorites at Fandul. In total is high 51 and a half. Dolphins continue to roll that offense
18:30 is dominant. They had one hiccup against Buffalo and I guess against New England, but it's still
18:35 obviously got the win there. That team is rolling, taking on the Philadelphia Eagles who finally lost
18:41 last week. Surprisingly, they lose to the New York Jets of all people, the AFC East New York Jets. So
18:50 that was definitely something, but they come home again and they are two and a half point favorites
18:56 according to Fandul. Do the Miami dolphins keep rolling? Do the Eagles lose two in a row or do
19:02 you see Philly getting back on track and knocking off Miami? Yeah, the Eagles are down. I think Reed
19:08 Blankenship and Bradley Robey most likely, but that's tough. And I don't know what against
19:13 the dolphins, you kind of need all hands on deck. So yeah, I think this is one that they're,
19:18 the dolphins are going to be able to pull out. I think their defense is going to be able to do
19:21 enough. It's probably going to be a competitive game, probably going to be a pretty high scoring
19:25 game. But yeah, I'd expect the dolphins to come out on top. Yeah, I think so too. You talk about
19:30 it in that sense with the injuries on the Philly defense, that immediately tells me that the
19:35 dolphins are going to score some points because that's just what they do. I think they've, again,
19:40 I guess had, they hit two little roadblocks offensively with, I guess the Patriots and the
19:44 Buffalo Bills. But I mean, really this team is scoring like 38 points a game on average.
19:49 I know that's a little skewed from their 70 pointer, but nonetheless, they're still rolling.
19:53 They lead the league in rushing. They lead the league in passing. No matter who they put back
19:57 there at running back, they're going to go for like 100 and 200 plus. Two is obviously back there
20:01 slinging the ball all around the yard. Two Tyree killed, two Jalen Waddell, that offense rolls.
20:06 But then also thinking about it from Philly's perspective against the Jets struggling
20:11 offensively from a team that was undefeated and then lost their first game. So I think they get
20:16 back on track offensively. So I love the over 51 and a half. I think both of these teams can score
20:22 30 plus in this one with two defenses that are pretty subpar, especially with injury.
20:27 As far as the point spread, I think that Miami goes on the road and wins this one.
20:34 I think that team has a lot of Jews right now. So I like Miami plus two and a half.
20:38 Kind of surprising to see the defending NFC champion, Philadelphia Eagles lose two straight,
20:43 but with the way Miami is playing, I think it's hard, hard to defend that team and hard to,
20:47 hard to count them out for a loss right now. So with those injuries in the Philly secondary,
20:53 I'm going to go with Miami plus two and a half and I'm going to go over 51 and a half. So
20:59 rounding this one out, Taylor, we have Monday night football and we have the San Francisco 49ers
21:05 who also just lost last weekend to the Cleveland Browns. So no more undefeated teams in NFL
21:11 football this season. Yep. They are headed to the dome to the Minnesota Vikings to take on
21:19 Kirk cousins, who was Kyle Shanahan's one-time love. Can't get his hands on him. So now he's
21:25 got to deal with Brock party out there in San Fran who had his one sort of down game from an
21:31 otherwise MVP caliber season, at least according to our friends at FanDuel Brock party before last
21:36 weekend was the favorite now goes to two attack of ILO. The spread on this game, San Francisco on
21:43 the road favorites at minus seven. The total is 44 Vikings, obviously down Justin Jefferson,
21:50 San Francisco 49ers again, one hiccup last weekend, but they're still rolling. That team's
21:55 pretty dominant. Otherwise outside of last weekend's down game. So seven points spread
22:03 Niners coming off a loss Vikings down for the count, basically all season.
22:08 What do you make of the game? What do you make of the spread? Who wins this one?
22:10 Yeah, well, the 49ers, you never know with them how much like not participating in practice means
22:16 because they got a lot of older players who are really good, but they got like Aaron Banks, a
22:20 guard, Dre Greenlaw, Christian McCaffrey, Debo, Samuel and Trent Williams. None of them participated
22:25 yesterday. So that's a good Patriots injury report, right? Yeah. So like not not great, Bob,
22:31 but at the same time, it took the best defense in football, like by a wide margin, the Browns
22:37 to take down the 49ers. I don't think the Vikings are like that. So yeah, I'm even with some of
22:43 their key players out. I think the 49ers role in this one. I think so too. I think this is another
22:48 one of those. Don't overthink it. Like they give you the seven points for a, you know, a touchdown
22:53 game, but I think they could easily win by 10, 14, maybe even 21 year. Like it depends because
22:59 with Justin Jefferson out, the Vikings are obviously they've been down. They've been down
23:02 all season. Again, I think her cousins, this is probably his last year in Minnesota. I think
23:08 they'll sort of do a reset after this year. So they seem to again be, I keep saying it,
23:13 but down for the count Minnesota after last year, having all those close one possession games,
23:17 they can't now can't find a win to save their life. So in a bounce back spot on Monday night
23:24 football in prime time, San Fran comes in and rolls and Brock Purdy might actually take over
23:28 that top dog MVP slot once again, as we leave week seven. So that'll do it for us. Make sure
