00:00 quarterbacks this year in scrambling and those types of plays.
00:03 What's worked well for you guys in terms of being able to slow that down?
00:07 >> I think we do a good job coverage wise when it comes to the scramble drill.
00:10 I see the running back, he has to run the ball.
00:13 He's not gonna scramble, run around and then chuck it down the field cuz someone's
00:16 open, so I'll give us credit for that.
00:18 But the thing that we gotta improve on is try to get him down,
00:22 especially ASU and Sanford.
00:24 I mean, we definitely got him in positions where he's scrambling,
00:26 but we're gonna get him down.
00:27 And we definitely cannot allow Caleb Williams to just
00:32 willy nilly run down the field.
00:35 We've seen what he did against Utah in the Pac-12 Championship.
00:37 So we just gotta focus on getting him down.
00:39 And then, especially with them, they're so good at the scramble drill where they'll
00:43 run the route concept, but if he's running, then they'll just break away from it.
00:48 So we gotta stay disciplined on our job.
00:49 >> Is there anything the Stanford quarterback did that you think might help
00:52 prepare for playing against USA this week?
00:53 >> No.
00:55 >> [LAUGH] >> Did you ever have any interest in USC?
00:59 I know you were looking at smaller schools, or they were looking at you.
01:02 >> Smaller schools.
01:03 >> But did you ever think about them cuz you're down in Vegas and not too far?
01:06 >> I did not.
01:10 My teammate, Ea, got there and I didn't wanna go to the same place he went to
01:14 because he was the number one linebacker in the country at the time and I was not.
01:18 So I definitely didn't wanna deal with that one.
