00:00 Hey King Combs, it's Men's Health.
00:02 What's up Men's Health, it's King Combs. Y'all ready for the party?
00:06 Nah, I'm playing. Come see my gym and fridge real quick.
00:12 Alright, let's see what we got in here today.
00:24 What staples do you keep in your fridge?
00:27 Alright, so a staple that I got in my fridge that I can't live without, my juices right here.
00:32 Usually I like to start the day before a workout with like a smoothie, some pineapples, maybe some strawberries.
00:38 I got the frozen strawberries in here. I put these in almost every one of my smoothies.
00:42 What would we never find in your fridge?
00:44 Something you would never see in my fridge is probably mushrooms or some blue cheese. I hate that. I hate that.
00:54 Oh no. Is this what I think it is? I think my girl really put blue cheese in my fridge.
01:03 This is real beef that we about to have in here. I'm gonna leave this over here with her.
01:07 How has your diet changed over time?
01:12 Over time my diet has changed a lot. I used to just eat like fried foods every single day.
01:18 But now I try to be a little more healthy, do some grilled chicken, you know, some salmon, something a little bit more unfried.
01:25 What do you eat or drink before a performance?
01:27 Like if I'm not feeling all the way healthy before a show, instead of doing a shot of Deleon or some liquor,
01:33 I take a shot of this ginger shot right here. I'ma try it right now actually, start the day.
01:38 Cheers to new music. Can't stop, won't stop. Number one. Let's get it.
01:44 Great.
01:45 What's the best meal that your dad ever made for you?
01:47 The best meal that my dad's ever made for me? Well, he don't cook at all.
01:52 Well, actually, the other day he did make some spaghetti. It was like one of his first times cooking.
01:58 He's doing like a new thing, cooking for family on some Sundays. He made some spaghetti. It was all right.
02:03 So I think the best meal he's made is some spaghetti. The one and only meal he's made.
02:09 What did you always have in the house growing up?
02:11 What I always had in the house growing up, and if you know me, you know this is like my favorite drink in the whole world.
02:18 Yoo-hoo. It's chocolate milk. It tastes like a Hershey's bar melted and whipped up with some extra vanilla on it.
02:26 It's crazy. This is like a great drink. And the secret is to this drink.
02:31 When you freeze it a little bit, it's even better.
02:35 What kind of foods do you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
02:38 I'm not the type of person who likes all the sweets and like extra stuff in my breakfast.
02:43 I'm cool with just over easy egg, bacon, orange juice, or omelet. You know, I really like a good omelet.
02:49 And yet for lunch, I usually like to, you know, do like some chicken and rice, maybe a good salad, you know, midday.
02:55 And then for dinner, I like to have a little bit of everything.
02:58 Rice, maybe a good salad, you know, midday.
03:01 And then for dinner, I'm going to have to go either soul food or we're going to go, you know, some ribeye.
03:07 Yeah, some good steak with like some corn on the cob, vegetables, mashed potatoes.
03:12 It's a good dinner too. You know, I'm trying to low-key get my gains right.
03:16 You know, kind of I've been on the road doing this can't stop, won't stop lifestyle moving around.
03:20 So I kind of fell off, but I'm about to get back right. You know what I'm saying?
03:24 What would we always see in your fridge?
03:26 Something that I always have in my fridge is this right here.
03:29 Boom, water. You know, like I said, my lifestyle sometimes get rough.
03:34 You know, I'm a rapper and I'm a model. So those lifestyles is opposites.
03:38 You know, I got to stay up all night to do music and shows and studio.
03:42 And then for modeling, I got to wake up 7 a.m. on runway, casting call. So this is important.
03:48 What's your go-to comfort food?
03:50 Go-to comfort foods probably have to be some barbecue ribs and especially these barbecue ribs
03:57 that my uncle Keith from Columbus, Georgia makes. Shout out to you, uncle.
04:01 Go-to burger order?
04:02 Go-to burger order. I rock with In-N-Out. I think a good double-double. And I like it cut in half.
04:09 A lot of people don't know about that. It makes it way easier.
04:12 I'm not trying to have sauce spilling all on me. Cut it in halves. Perfect.
04:17 Do you drink coffee?
04:18 Yeah, usually I don't really drink coffee. But if I do, I'm kind of guilty for putting like four packs of sugar in it.
04:24 So that's why I think coffee not for me.
04:27 What's your snack strategy?
04:28 So you know it's a King Kong spread.
04:31 We got these in the freezer at all times. You know, this is mine right here. This is what I do.
04:37 I make the chocolate chip cookies and I make the best chocolate chip cookies in the whole world.
04:42 I know there ain't nobody who make them like me.
04:44 They got to be the perfect temperature, perfect color. You know what I'm saying? Not too black, not too light.
04:49 This has got to be like a real brown. You know what I'm saying? Kind of like this right here.
04:55 What's the toughest diet you've ever tried?
04:57 The toughest diet I ever tried was like a no sugar diet.
05:01 Couldn't really eat no sweets or drink no juice, no soda.
05:05 It was cool. I did it. But I was a little healthier. I might do it again.
05:08 What are you grabbing from the fridge at 2 a.m.?
05:11 I ain't going to lie. I'm probably going to grab some leftovers.
05:14 I'm a real big leftover fan. Like I'm not going to throw nothing away.
05:18 It don't matter if it's two pieces of chicken, one piece of a little steak.
05:22 I'm going to save it because I know after the munchies, I'm going to need something.
05:27 So yeah, leftovers, you're my best friend.
05:31 And nobody throw away my leftovers. If y'all throw away my leftovers, I'm going to really be mad. For real.
05:35 All right. So I just gave you all a rundown on what I like to eat.
05:38 So now let's go work out. Let's get it.
05:41 How often do you work out?
05:45 I try to work out at least like four times out the week.
05:48 They always say that you should give your body some rest.
05:50 So I try to give my body like a couple days just to rejuvenate.
05:55 How has your exercise regimen changed over time?
05:58 Well, when I was young, I used to play football.
06:01 So I kind of used to like work out a lot.
06:04 And with basketball, I feel like I used to do more cardio.
06:07 Now, kind of just like lift or do sit-ups, push-ups, maybe pull-ups.
06:12 But not as much running as I used to do when I was younger.
06:15 How does working out help you as a performer?
06:17 I think as a performer, working out helps for sure with cardio.
06:21 Because sometimes I'm on stage and I'll be gassed.
06:23 And I just can't even talk to the fans. That's not it.
06:26 What's your favorite exercise?
06:28 My favorite workout is probably sit-ups.
06:30 That's what really like got me into working out when I was younger.
06:34 Shout out my older brother, Justin.
06:36 He was doing these sit-ups, doing everything.
06:38 But I remember he had like abs. And this was before I had the abs.
06:42 And I was real young. And I was like, "Yo, how you get that?"
06:44 And he just told me like, "Yo, you got to just keep doing sit-ups."
06:47 And ever since then, stayed on it.
06:50 How do you keep motivated to stay fit?
06:52 I think, you know, just wanting to kind of look good.
06:56 And, you know, I grew up kind of watching movies where they have like, you know,
07:00 the dude come and take all the girls that had his shirt off with the six-pack.
07:04 So I was like, "Hold on. I might need to try that."
07:07 Was exercise important to you growing up?
07:09 When I was young, I came into freshman year and I was only 5'3", like 100 pounds.
07:15 So I was like real short and small.
07:17 And I went to like one of the biggest schools for sports, Sierra Canyon High School.
07:21 And they had all the D1 athletes.
07:24 And compared to them, I just looked real scrawny and little.
07:27 I'm like, "Nah, I got to get kind of fit."
07:30 So started to work out.
07:31 What's one exercise you hate?
07:33 Either squats or running.
07:34 I like playing sports, running in sports.
07:36 But just running straight, it's not really it.
07:38 Do you ever switch up your exercise?
07:40 Yeah, sometimes I switch up how I exercise.
07:42 Like, you know, sometimes I might do a couple days like in the pool,
07:45 swim back and forth, do laps.
07:47 You know, that works out your core and stuff a lot too.
07:50 What's your favorite part of working out?
07:52 Seeing the results.
07:53 What's your least favorite part of working out?
07:55 Probably waking up, getting out of the bed, and really going to the gym.
08:00 That's the hardest part.
08:02 What music do you listen to when you work out?
08:04 When I work out, you know, I want to get hype.
08:06 I might throw on some Pop Smoke.
08:09 You know, I may do Sexy Red right now.
08:10 She turning me up a little bit.
08:13 All right, King, time for some rapid-fire questions.
08:16 7 a.m. or 7 p.m.?
08:17 7 p.m. I'm not a morning person.
08:19 Squat or deadlift?
08:21 Deadlift.
08:22 What's your favorite song on your workout playlist?
08:23 "Can't Stop, Won't Stop."
08:24 Crossfit yay or nay?
08:26 Nay.
08:27 Pull-ups or chin-ups?
08:28 Pull-ups.
08:29 Dumbbells or kettlebells?
08:30 Dumbbells.
08:31 Run on the treadmill or in the great outdoors?
08:33 Neither, but if I had to choose, I'm going to go outdoors.
08:36 Cardio or weights?
08:37 Weights.
08:38 Big legs or big arms?
08:39 Big arms.
08:40 Biggest compliment jacked, ripped, swole, or cut?
08:43 I think swole.
08:44 If you could work out with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be?
08:47 Probably LeBron James.
08:49 All right, Ms. Health.
08:51 I'm done.
08:52 I'm done working out.
08:53 Man, it's time to get back to this "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" lifestyle.
