The sack numbers didn't go up but pressures did for the full Chicago Bears defense in their first game with defensive end Montez Sweat rushing the passer.

00:03 Yeah, no doubt.
00:10 He did have a--
00:12 it's really helped free up the other guys.
00:14 You saw him chipping--
00:15 guys chipping him out on the way out to the route.
00:17 So that certainly helps other guys.
00:20 And I thought our rushers were really rushing well
00:22 and got some good pressures.
00:24 In terms of pressures on the quarterback
00:26 and made him force the ball on some of those third downs
00:28 a little bit earlier than he wanted to.
00:31 And certainly, Tez was a big part of that.
00:33 He had a few of those, as you mentioned.
00:36 So it's going to be really big for us going forward.
00:39 And a credit to him.
00:40 I mean, shoot, he was here, what, four days,
00:42 maybe, before he got out there on the football field
00:45 and learned a new language, so to speak, in terms of terms,
00:49 and really functioned well in that environment
00:53 and for a football.
00:54 I think he did great.
00:55 He went out there, and we communicated.
00:57 He just got here, so there's a lot he has to catch up on.
01:00 But I think we communicated.
01:01 We got everything settled for the snap.
01:03 And I think he fits right in.
01:05 I think he made it available for everybody to get one-on-ones.
01:09 I think now we have a full threat on this line.
01:11 And it's really going to help out as far as offense alignment.
01:14 Just not focusing on one player each snap.
01:16 They have to spread out the work.
