Farnham Fireworks: Schools and community groups cash in on Fifty for Fawkes Guy competition

  • last year
A highlight of this year's Farnham Fireworks and Torchlit Procession was the Fifty for Fawkes Guy competition, which attracted entries from more than a dozen schools, charities, and community groups in exchange for £50 each. St Mary’s School in Frensham clinched the coveted top spot, chosen by gold sponsors Guardian Angel Carers, with The Ridgeway School securing the runner-up position, chosen by Farnham Round Table chairman Nigel. Their efforts soon went up in smoke on the magnificent bonfire, however, lit by the mayor and Guardian Angel director Tim, a former RAF Chinook pilot.
