00:00 Here's today's Derbyshire Times video bulletin.
00:03 Police officers have launched an investigation after thieves tried to steal part of the historic Peak District monument.
00:10 The Derbyshire Roble Crime Team is investigating the attempted theft of a number of marker stones from the Arbor Low site, a Neolithic henge monument near Bakewell.
00:20 The marker stones are not part of the original monument, but they still form part of the protected site.
00:26 A police spokesperson said, "Persons found to be committing crime against any of our county's historic assets will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
00:35 This would include any persons responsible for stealing the items, as well as anyone that may take possession of them afterwards.
00:42 Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Derbyshire Police."
00:47 Investigations are continuing today into what caused an explosion that ripped through a Derbyshire bungalow yesterday.
00:54 Fire crews attended Ollisard Avenue in New Mills following reports of a blast yesterday morning.
00:59 Photographs taken at the scene show a ground floor terraced home valued at around half a million pounds, with flames shooting up through its heavily damaged roof.
01:08 A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said just one injury had been reported, but residents from 12 other homes had been evacuated to a nearby leisure centre as a precaution.
01:18 Initial reports suggest that the incident may have been caused by a gas explosion, but investigations are continuing today into what caused the blast.
