00:00 Dallas Cowboys offense and quarterback Dak Prescott have been heating up lately.
00:04 Dak leads the NFL in pass and completion percentage.
00:08 Now do you think that Dak should be in the MVP conversation?
00:12 Here's the trick. Take the star off his helmet.
00:15 Okay.
00:15 Get rid of the silver, get rid of the blue, get rid of the name on the back.
00:19 Would be hard to do because the correlation there is...
00:22 And that's part of the problem. Good and bad.
00:25 If you're a Cowboy homer, and you have a right to be,
00:29 maybe you're extremely pro Dak.
00:31 Although we've run into a lot of people who are Cowboy fans who I find strangely are anti-Dak.
00:37 I agree.
00:38 But if you simply look at a performance, look at the numbers,
00:41 look at the way he's throwing the football, look at the decisions he's making,
00:44 look at his movement, his mobility, including as a runner,
00:47 and then look at the Cowboys success over the course of the last month.
00:50 If you just said that was player X performing for team X,
00:54 there's no, it's not even a debate.
00:57 It's quite obvious that over the course of the last month of the season,
01:01 and then for the season as a whole with the Cowboys at six and three as we sit here,
01:05 that quarterback of that team, no matter what his name is,
01:09 no matter what the team is, is an MVP candidate.
01:12 In this particular case, his name is somehow weirdly controversial, and it's Dak Prescott.
01:17 Jerry Jones believes that he should be in the conversation.
01:19 So does the locker room.
01:20 And Micah Parsons said this before the blowout of the Giants, that the same thing, the numbers.
01:26 And we don't even have to include the character and the leadership and all those kind of things
01:30 that some Cowboys fan get a little tired of hearing.
01:33 When you lose a game or lose a playoff game and say, yeah, but character and leadership,
01:40 that doesn't really fly.
01:42 But at six and three, character and leadership, tagged on to the performance.
01:48 And there's a short list of MVP candidates, and Dak Prescott should be on that list.
01:53 - Okay, I'm with you there.
