Notre Dame Run Game Needs To Get Going

00:03 They're coming off a game in which they give up 266 yards to NC State,
00:07 they gave up 181 to Duke.
00:08 But the three previous games, they held their opponents to 141 or below,
00:12 held Florida State to only 126.
00:13 They did give up 207 to Clemson.
00:16 So they've had some moments where their run defense has been pretty good.
00:19 They're undersized.
00:20 They're going to run a lot of run stunts.
00:22 They're gonna pressure a lot.
00:24 They're gonna do things to get their undersized,
00:29 decent athlete front seven players in position to be aggressive and attack.
00:34 And that's what Notre Dame is gonna have to be prepared for.

00:38 So when I think about my feelings on how Notre Dame is gonna be going into
00:43 the bowl season, and how my feelings are gonna be about what this team is and
00:49 what this team can be, and we talked about it on Tuesday.
00:54 This team has a chance to still create some positive momentum with
00:58 people who are rational, right?
01:01 Now, positive momentum doesn't mean you're okay with how the season went, but
01:06 it means, okay, I don't like how the season went, but you know what?
01:09 They finished strong.
01:11 And right now, that's all this football team can control,
01:14 is how they finish, the momentum.
01:15 They can't go back and change the Clemson game.
01:18 They can't go back and change the Louisville game.
01:19 They can't go back and change the Ohio State game.
01:22 They can say, okay, we're going to finish strong.
01:24 We're gonna do some things in these last couple games that are gonna give us
01:27 an opportunity to go out there and play at a very high level and
01:30 finish the season on a strong note.
01:31 And that's what I wanna see,
01:33 part of that's gonna be a more physical football team.
