00:00 So in the locker room, we got to talk to some of them
00:02 and ask them, what are your favorite dishes?
00:05 What do you do for Thanksgiving?
00:06 And I find it to be pretty interesting.
00:08 - Yeah, one thing they do for this Thanksgiving
00:10 is they bring the Washington commanders to town.
00:12 Part of a package, as is usually the case,
00:15 four games in 20 days for the Cowboys.
00:18 So that's burdensome.
00:20 Of course, the commanders are going,
00:21 well, it's burdensome on us.
00:22 We got to travel on Thanksgiving.
00:24 For us, of course, Marsha, for the 17th straight year,
00:28 jokingly said, what are we doing for Thanksgiving?
00:30 Knowing that the answer is, I don't know.
00:31 I'm not going to be there.
00:33 I'm working, sorry.
00:36 It's, by the way, working is a relative thing.
00:38 We ain't exactly tarring roofs.
00:40 We're watching football.
00:41 - And AT&T Stadium does have some pretty good Thanksgiving.
00:43 - Oh my gosh, yeah.
00:46 Jerry puts out an incredible feast.
00:49 Yeah, the tradition that's developed here, of course,
00:51 is they'll do Thanksgiving on Fridays.
00:56 They'll do Thanksgiving on the weekend.
01:00 Can't do it on Wednesday,
01:01 because they're together as a team.
01:03 Can't really do it on Thursday.
01:05 You've got a long day there.
01:06 - You don't want to be turkey hungover either,
01:08 'cause you got another Thursday game
01:10 coming up against the Seattle Seahawks.
01:11 - That's very true.
01:12 And again, that's part of that four games in 20 days.
01:16 The Seahawks thing, same kind of deal
01:20 as with the commanders.
01:21 It upsets the apple cart of your week.
01:24 - Totally, it changes everything.
01:25 - Yeah, it changes your body clock.
01:28 Same thing as moving across time zones.
01:31 That's a real factor.
01:32 I'm not a gambling guy,
01:33 but that really is a factor when you're a Seattle team
01:36 and you go play in Miami, or vice versa.
01:39 In this particular case,
01:40 the Cowboys have a great record at home
01:42 over the course of Thanksgiving.
01:43 One of the reasons is because the Cowboys have been so good
01:46 over the course of the better part of 60 years.
01:48 But another reason is that's a huge advantage.
01:51 - Yeah, you give up your Thanksgiving afternoon,
01:55 they're giving up their whole Thanksgiving week
01:57 'cause they have to travel.
01:58 - That's true.
01:59 So the Cowboys play the commanders,
02:00 and then the next day, Demarcus Lawrence
02:02 is going to be cooking for his family.
02:04 A lot of the Cowboys players, their moms make the dishes,
02:07 their grandmothers make the dishes,
02:09 but D-Law, he's out there frying his turkey,
02:12 and he makes the mac and cheese.
02:14 He said his favorite thing though is the cornbread stuffing.
02:17 - Does that sound like an invitation to Tank's house?
02:19 - I don't know, it sounds pretty darn good.
02:21 And then I asked CD Lamb too, "What's your favorite dish?"
02:24 And he said that his mom and his grandmother
02:27 actually battle with who has the best stuffing.
02:30 - Wow.
02:31 - So that's a good taste test.
02:32 - So it's lamb versus lamb,
02:33 and Cowboys versus commanders on Thanksgiving.
02:36 - There we go.
