00:06 Mike Fisher reporting on the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL, where just now,

00:10 Jimmy Johnson in Charlotte, North Carolina, where the Cowboys are getting ready to

00:14 play at the Carolina Panthers, and owner Jerry Jones, obviously, holding court.

00:21 Holding court on the sideline first with Jimmy, and

00:23 then holding court in a press conference and in a live visit.

00:28 The two of them, old friends, highly successful together with the Cowboys,

00:33 of course, and then frenemies over the course of some of their time.

00:36 The announcement comes from Jerry Jones, Jimmy,

00:39 we really are gonna put you in the ring of honor.

00:42 America team, long, long wait is over.

00:46 And then Jerry says, we're gonna put you in on December 30th, 1923.

00:54 Oops, maybe Jerry had Yellowstone on his mind, of course,

00:59 he means December 30th, 2023, that coming up this year.

01:03 Now we have a date.

01:04 The two of them conducted about a three minute long love fest on the air on Fox,

01:10 and for long time Cowboy followers, admirers of both men, and

01:14 I count myself among that group.

01:16 It was really nice and warm and fun as the two shared some old tales,

01:22 said they always got along, which is semi true.

01:25 And admitting that while there might have been some frenemy related issues over

01:30 the course of the years, that they are friends now.

01:33 They're talking now, they get along now, and you could sense that that was the truth.

01:37 That was not a performance on the part of Jerry,

01:40 that was not a performance on the part of Jimmy.

01:43 There was some real warmth there and some real closure there for

01:47 the two of them and for Cowboys Nation as well.

01:51 December 30th, somewhere between 1923 and 2023, no, no, really 2023.

02:00 And then Jerry allowed Jimmy to have the last word and punctuate the visit together

02:04 on live television with Jimmy's trademark phrase after he, of course,

02:09 oversaw the success in two Super Bowls.

02:11 And really, obviously, was an architect on the third Super Bowl of the 90s as well.

02:15 When Jimmy gets to say into the camera, how about them Cowboys?
