00:01 We are just now exiting AT&T Stadium.
00:04 I'm Mike Fisher, your trusty and trusted reporter of the Cowboys.
00:08 Get it done 41 to 35 over, as we said, going in a good Seattle team
00:13 that now has lost three straight games and is six and six.
00:18 But don't let that take away from what a challenge the Seahawks represented
00:23 tonight on Thursday night football and what a success is represented by what
00:28 the Cowboys accomplished here as we make our way through the parking lot.
00:33 And I appreciate you being with us on cowboyssi.com and
00:36 of course also on the Fish Report on YouTube.
00:39 Three takes from the post game that have merit as we move forward.
00:46 The first one comes from Mike McCarthy, the head coach of the Cowboys as they
00:51 moved to nine and three, who says we needed a game like that.
00:55 And what he's talking about, not that you can go coerce this out of an opponent,
01:02 not that you wanna arrange it this way.
01:05 But the Cowboys who habitually win home games and
01:11 win them by blowout scores 20 plus and the rest, to get tested like this,
01:16 McCarthy's point is, is gonna pay off when we get to the playoffs,
01:21 when the Cowboys get to the playoffs.
01:22 When they're probably not gonna beat everybody 41 to 18,
01:26 the way they generally do or so in this building.
01:30 We needed a game like this.
01:31 This is part of our growth.
01:33 This is part of our development so
01:36 we can be ready to play good teams in the playoffs.
01:38 That's the McCarthy point.
01:40 The Dak Prescott point is about numbers and
01:44 the ridiculous abuse of Dak Prescott by some in the media and
01:50 some in the fan base, yes, even the Cowboys fan base.
01:55 I just don't know what else this person has to do in order to shut those people up.
02:00 This is MVP stuff.
02:02 Again, he did it again tonight and the MVP related numbers now.
02:07 I'm trying to do this off the top of my head.
02:10 I think he's 26 and 6 for the year touchdown interception ratio.
02:13 He is playing at the highest possible level.
02:18 Again, I'm trying to imagine how you do it better than what he's done in
02:23 the last seven games or so where the Cowboys are racking up victories.
02:28 He is not throwing interceptions.
02:31 He's not making mental or physical mistakes.
02:35 He's playing balls to the wall.
02:37 And I think in the last seven games or so,
02:43 I think the touchdown interception ratio is something like 21 to 2.
02:48 21 to 2, that's MVP stuff.
02:51 And he says, Dak does, that that's a result of I prepare my ass off and
02:57 all the guys on this team prepare their ass off.
02:59 At the same time, he says, I don't care about the numbers, nor, he says,
03:03 do I care about the critics.
03:04 And he's developed, he said this a couple times in the last few months.
03:08 He's developed a pretty neat little deal.
03:11 He says, I'm the writer.
03:14 I don't care about the critic.
03:16 I'm the writer.
03:17 I've got the pen.
03:18 I've got the paper.
03:19 I'm gonna write my own story.
03:21 And he is writing an MVP story,
03:24 even though he says he doesn't care about the numbers, which I buy.
03:29 That doesn't mean he doesn't care about playing like an MVP.
03:32 Why wouldn't you?
03:33 And finally, Micah Parsons.
03:35 There's a 24 hour rule in the NFL.
03:37 We all know this.
03:38 You get 24 hours to whine about a loss.
03:40 You get 24 hours to whoop about a win.
03:44 And then you move on to the next.
03:45 They're not wasting any time doing that here.
03:47 They respect what the Seahawks are, and
03:50 they respect what they accomplished against the Seahawks.
03:52 But Micah and Dak both almost immediately turning the page
03:56 to next week's game, Philadelphia in here.
03:58 Philadelphia 10 and 1, the only team in the NFL now with a better record than
04:02 Dallas, Micah says, first he said, it's just another game, and
04:07 then he retracted that.
04:09 He says, it's us against the world.
04:11 The truth is, the world is not against Dallas.
04:15 The world is not against the Cowboys.
04:16 The world, quite frankly, is very much Cowboy Nation.
04:19 But there is a level of deserved respect for what Philadelphia has done.
04:24 And here comes the rematch with a Cowboy team that thinks it is primed
04:29 to be us against the world if the world is just the Eagles,
04:35 and go beat the Eagles now in what is going to be
04:39 a game of the year without any doubt with the Cowboys in Arlington at AT&T Stadium.
04:46 Fish out.
