Transcript
00:00 [BLANK_AUDIO]
00:01 The Dallas Cowboys have been installed as three point favorites in the upcoming
00:05 Sunday night football game.
00:07 It's Cowboys at home here in North Texas, AT&T Stadium.
00:10 Here come the Philadelphia Eagles.
00:12 The Eagles reeling a bit, at least in terms of what they did on the field
00:17 last Sunday against the visiting 49ers.
00:21 Just got crushed in every possible way,
00:23 lost control of themselves emotionally and otherwise.
00:27 And now the odds makers have themselves what surely will be a doozy and
00:31 so do the rest of us.
00:32 This will probably be one of the highest watched,
00:35 highest rated NFL regular season games of all time.
00:39 The Eagles audience and their excellence demands that,
00:42 the Cowboys audience and their excellence demands that.
00:45 This might be a little overblown in terms of what could happen in the standings,
00:49 however, and I hate to take the edge off what could be a classic matchup.
00:53 The rematch, of course, from a close game that the Dallas Cowboys lost
00:57 at Philadelphia earlier this year.
00:59 Yes, if the Cowboys win, they vault into first place in the NFC East,
01:05 at least for the moment.
01:07 But the way the schedule plays out and the way the tiebreakers play out,
01:10 the Eagles would have to lose again.
01:12 There is a challenge on the Eagle schedule.
01:14 They play at Seattle.
01:16 So the Eagles will travel to Dallas, back home, and then to Seattle.
01:20 It's a tough road trip and Seattle, a 500 team right now, but
01:23 Seattle a quality team and a playoff caliber team.
01:26 That's a theoretical challenge for the Eagles.
01:30 The Cowboys have more theoretical challenges than that.
01:33 As after they're done with the Eagles, they go to Buffalo, come home,
01:38 go to Miami, come home, and then play the Lions on Saturday the 30th.
01:43 So a lot of football yet to be played.
01:45 The Cowboys have a chance to sniff their way to the top of the NFC East, but
01:49 the Eagles probably aren't done yet.
01:51 With the Cowboys in Frisco, home of the Cowboys, Mike Fisher, out.
