What is Cardiff’s favourite Christmas jingle?
It’s that time of year again when all we hear is Christmas music, Mariah Carey, Wham and Slade seem to be on repeat throughout december. For some it’s a nightmare, but for others it’s all they’ve been waiting for all year, so we find out from the people of Cardiff what they’re favourites are at christmas time.

00:00 Yeah, Justin Bieber, Mistletoe. Unbelievable banger.
00:04 A lovely song. I ain't giving you a rendition, mind you.
00:07 No, no, no, I won't ruin everyone's day, so...
00:11 No, but, yeah, give it a listen.
00:13 You just can't beat the classics, though, like Mercury, yeah, so...
00:17 Yeah, decent ones out there. Yeah, Mistletoe's the best.
00:20 I really... I'm a sucker for carols, I'm going to be real.
00:24 Hug the Herald. Screw it, go on, why not?
00:27 Hug the Herald. That would probably be my favourite.
00:30 Love the Descant, a little fun. Yeah.
00:33 Slade. Also great. Wishes Christmas every day.
00:37 Yeah, and also one with... Wizard. Wizard.
00:42 You know, the older ones, but I like them all, we like them all.
00:46 Whatever comes out, we enjoy.
00:48 Stepping into Christmas.
00:50 That's a classic. Yeah, that's a classic.
00:53 Yeah, we love that one. We're always dancing round, aren't we?
00:56 I love all the Christmas songs. I've been playing them since November.
01:00 Mariah Carey, I don't know, all the classics.
01:04 Anything, Amazon, Jingle Bell Rock, anything Amazon plays.
01:08 I say. Anything's actually... I say.
01:11 Oh, like I said, I like the old classics, White Christmas,
01:16 Bing Crosby, and the old Blue Eyes himself.
01:21 Oh, yeah, and then mixed up with a bit of Wham! and White Christmas.
01:27 That's all we hear today in the shops.
01:30 And Bublé, isn't it? Michael Bublé.
01:33 I keep going back to the old ones.
01:36 What was it? Florence and the Machine.
01:40 I'm not interested in that.
01:43 I just like a bit of classics, wasn't it?
01:46 Bublé.
01:48 Bublé.
01:51 So I say Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way.
01:56 That's a classic. Any other kind of poppy ones?
01:59 Obviously not from Wales.
02:02 I've got my favourite songs from my country, favourite Bulgarian songs,
02:06 but I cannot sing them as well.
02:09 Can I give you a quick little...
02:12 I don't know if you can see, but there's a lot of noise in the water.
02:18 What's that one called?
02:20 It's called Snow in a Big Winter, something like that.
02:24 It's translated, yeah.
02:26 I've got a favourite of yours.
02:28 Probably Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day by Slade.
02:31 Us. Tune. Good tune. Yeah, I love them. All of them.
02:34 I forget the names, but as soon as they come to my head, classic memories.
02:38 I don't think you can hear too much of any of them, really.
02:41 They're all pretty good, aren't they?
02:43 They're all familiar and remind you of lovely Christmases.
02:46 Shaking Stevens, eh? He was good.
02:48 I'm very, very shaky.
02:50 I think they start in November, to be fair,
02:53 and I would happily sing them until September.
02:56 Let Halloween people have their thing.
02:58 Let Halloween people have, you know, one month.
03:01 The rest will be Christmas. The rest is all Christmas. I like that.
