00:00 Moving to Patrick Bamford, of course, Leeds' main striker. He's got a bit of a new look.
00:06 In terms of impact on the pitch, Patrick Bamford's an interesting one. He's clearly got that talent, he's clearly got the goal-scoring touch, but obviously his injuries have hampered him throughout his career.
00:16 But at this level of the Championship, surely this is his chance to once again prove what he can do.
00:22 Yes, I think he's done it before, obviously, hasn't he? He's part of a promotion-winning team already and obviously the goals he scored in the Premier League, obviously injuries since then and obviously he's got a bit older since.
00:32 But I think he's going to be key, I really do. I think at the moment, obviously, just look at the team, a full-strength Leeds XI, he doesn't get in it, obviously, because Georgini Routier and Joel Pirro have put together such a great partnership up front.
00:44 But I still think if one of those was absent, certainly if Routier was absent, then Bamford would probably start purely because of his hold-up play and he is a natural number nine.
00:54 And I think that's probably someone that Daniel Farke would want up front. And obviously with his new look, that was crazy, Alan Road.
01:01 I remember I was at the game beforehand and saw somebody on the pitch as the warm-ups came up. I was quite far back, but with very similar hair to that a little bit longer.
01:09 And the thing that he was able to do was that, that was Christopher Klaasson, the reserve keeper. And then obviously, we get a double whammy because Bamford had a hat on.
01:16 Obviously, when he pulled his hat off, there was literally gasps from the Alan Road crowd, I don't think anybody could believe it.
01:20 But fair play to him, he's gone for a new look, but obviously now he'll want to be making an impact on the pitch.
01:24 And I think fair play to him because the two times he's come on lately, I mean, obviously he comes on and people sort of raise eyebrows and think, 'Oh, just don't miss a big chance' because everyone wants him to do well.
01:33 And if you don't strike, if you miss chances, it can affect your confidence. But the two times he's come on in the last two games, he's only been on for like 10 or 15 minutes, but he's been a bit of a nuisance.
01:41 He's had chances, he's got about the place and stuff. And he hasn't missed big chances. He's just probably been a little bit unlucky.
01:47 I mean, the header he had at Borough at the end was like an instinctive save from the keeper.
01:51 And he's got a lot to offer. And obviously, Leeds are going to need plenty of goals to go up.
01:55 They're sharing them out at the moment across the front four who are starting, but goals from the bench are going to be key.
02:00 And I don't think, as I say, I don't think it will be just a bench role for Bamford.
02:03 I think at some stage, because that front four isn't going to realistically be fit for every single game.
02:08 So I think there will be times when he will start.
02:10 So, although he's getting older now and hasn't been the main man as such recently, I still think he is a very, very big part of this Leeds United squad.
02:18 He's got a long contract at Leeds. What the future holds remains to be seen.
02:22 I suspect he's not really a player who will want to be sitting on the bench.
02:25 He's someone who will want to start. But if that's the case, then obviously, you know, that puts even more pressure on when he comes on to sort of like make an impact.
02:32 But, yeah, I still think he's got a big part to play for Leeds.
02:34 And like I say, certainly as far as opposition defences are concerned, I think he's been a bit of a handful when he's come on the last two games.
02:40 So, just needs a goal really, Dan. I think once he gets a goal as well, you know, like the strikers, you know, confidence breeds goals, breeds success, confidence breeds success.
02:48 And once he gets one, he'll probably be up and running. So, yeah, a big part for him to play still, I think.
