02:07 Assalamualaikum Ustaz.
02:08 Waalaikumussalam.
02:09 How are you Ustaz?
02:10 I'm fine, Alhamdulillah.
02:11 It's been a long time since we've been together, Ustaz.
02:14 That's right, Alhamdulillah, we get together today.
02:16 Alhamdulillah. Ustaz, how many pages of Surah are we in today?
02:19 If you can share with our audience.
02:21 Alhamdulillah, inshallah, today, dear audience, we are in page 108.
02:30 Today, we will be studying and re-reading from the sixth verse of Surah Al-Ma'idah.
02:36 Alright, Ustaz Ali Musa, before we continue, I would like to welcome the villagers.
02:42 Today, we are from Tadarus Istiqamah/Kuliah Duha Taman Perminjaya Cendering, Kuala Tengganu.
02:54 How are you, Tengganu?
02:56 Alhamdulillah.
02:58 Alhamdulillah, MashaAllah.
02:59 There was a participant on ABC, Ustaz.
03:01 Is this a new fashion?
03:03 I don't know, is it a new fashion?
03:05 It's a new fashion.
03:07 It's a new style or concept or set, Alhamdulillah.
03:12 Yes, I see it too, MashaAllah, it's a new set.
03:15 Hopefully, it brings a new spirit too.
03:17 Yes, Ustaz.
03:18 Inshallah.
03:19 Alhamdulillah, dear audience, as mentioned earlier, we will be reading Surah Al-Ma'idah, the sixth verse.
03:30 Yes.
03:31 The sixth verse, inshallah.
03:33 We will start our discussion with a short prayer.
03:35 (Reciting prayer)
03:41 Dear audience, before we go further, we will first look at the synopsis of this verse.
03:49 The sixth verse, dear audience, you can see it on the screen.
03:53 (Reciting prayer)
04:07 So that is our short synopsis.
04:09 InshaAllah, we will continue our discussion.
04:11 We will try to go through the verses or the words, which are quite interesting, dear audience,
04:17 which Allah SWT mentioned in this sixth verse, inshallah.
04:21 But, we would like to ask Al-Fadl Ustaz to read this verse first.
04:26 Please, Ustaz.
04:27 Alhamdulillah, thank you, Dr. Muhammad Arif Musa, for the introduction.
04:32 Alhamdulillah.
04:33 We will focus on our reading or our discussion of the sixth verse, Surah Al-Ma'idah, as mentioned earlier.
04:42 We have understood the meaning or the story of the verse we will be reading shortly.
04:48 If I may, we will return to the basics, which are prayer, paharah, or purification.
04:57 It is important.
04:58 Even if we learn about prayer, we will be taught how to purify ourselves.
05:05 Before that, let us listen to the life of the verse in Surah Al-Ma'idah.
05:11 I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan.
05:18 In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
05:23 O you who believe!
05:31 When you stand up for prayer, wash your faces and your hands with water, and wipe your heads and feet to the two sides of the face.
06:00 And if you are sick or on a journey, or one of you comes,
06:29 or one of you comes from a distress, or you touch women,
06:48 and you find no water, then take a good cup and wipe your faces and hands.
07:17 And if you are sick or on a journey, or one of you comes, or you touch women, and you find no water, then take a good cup and wipe your faces and feet.
07:29 But He wants to purify you and to perfect His favor upon you,
07:58 that you may be grateful.
08:07 O you who believe!
08:09 When you stand up for prayer, wash your faces and your hands with water, and wipe your heads and feet to the two sides of the face.
08:23 And if you are sick or on a journey, or one of you comes,
08:32 or one of you comes from a distress, or you touch women,
08:37 and you find no water, then take a good cup and wipe your faces and hands.
08:40 But He wants to purify you and to perfect His favor upon you,
08:47 that you may be grateful.
08:49 Ladies and gentlemen, may Allah Almighty bless you.
08:51 This verse, if we listen to the translation I just read,
08:56 it is about the order of purification.
09:00 Purification from either a good hadith or a small hadith or a big hadith.
09:08 So if we look at the context of this verse, ladies and gentlemen,
09:11 if we look at it in the context of the previous surah, and the beginning of the surah,
09:16 we will see an interesting connection.
09:21 At the beginning of Surah Al-Ma'idah, Allah Almighty says,
09:25 "O you who believe! Fulfill your promises."
09:35 So in us, we make promises, ladies and gentlemen.
09:39 Usually there are two sides, the promising and the promised.
09:44 And sometimes there is a promise where both sides have their own responsibility.
09:51 If we look at the context of this verse, ladies and gentlemen,
09:53 from the first verse to the fifth verse,
09:56 we see that Allah Almighty talks about what?
10:00 About what has been granted to us by Allah Almighty.
10:07 And the scholars mention this as "Ahd al-Rubu'u biyah",
10:11 the promise of Allah Almighty.
10:14 So Allah Almighty, from the side of Allah Almighty,
10:17 "Allah has given us livestock, food, and marriage."
10:32 So from the side of Allah Almighty,
10:34 there are various things that have been given by Allah Almighty.
10:38 In short, are we able to question the gift of Allah?
10:41 We are not able to question.
10:43 What is left, is left for us.
10:47 And this is called "Ahd al-Rubu'u biyah",
10:51 the promise of a servant.
10:53 What is the promise of a servant, ladies and gentlemen?
10:55 We will tell you in a moment.
10:57 Don't go anywhere.

14:38 Alhamdulillah, dear viewers,
14:44 May Allah Almighty bless us all.
14:46 We are back in My Quran Time, Quran, Salat and Infaq.
14:50 We have mentioned that from the beginning of this surah,
14:54 we see how Allah Almighty has made halal to us various types of food.
15:01 And Allah Almighty has made halal to us marriage.
15:06 We see that from the side of Allah Almighty, everything has been given.
15:11 The rest is a promise from us.
15:13 Al-ahdu bil-ubudiyyah.
15:15 Ahdun-ubudiyyah is a promise from a servant.
15:18 So, when we have received various blessings from Allah Almighty,
15:22 what is our responsibility, dear viewers?
15:24 Our responsibility is to not associate partners with Allah Almighty and to worship Him.
15:30 And what is greater than worshiping Salat itself?
15:35 Worshiping Salat is a great worship,
15:37 which makes the Prophet SAW be lifted to the heavens just to receive the commandment of Salat.
15:44 But before we go to Salat, there must be some conditions.
15:49 If we look here, to go to Salat, we must be pure from Hadath.
15:59 Whether the Hadath is small or big.
16:01 So, when we look at the sixth verse, it starts with
16:04 [Al-Quran 173]
16:22 So, if we look at this, Allah Almighty has commanded to the believers,
16:26 [Al-Quran 173]
16:34 But the question is here, Ustaz.
16:36 The scholars are discussing.
16:38 Is it necessary to take wudu every time we want to pray?
16:42 Is it not possible to use one wudu for two prayers?
16:47 If we look at this verse, it seems like Allah Almighty has commanded,
16:51 "O you who believe, every time you want to pray, you must take wudu."
16:56 But the scholars explain this.
16:59 The scholars say, when this verse actually refers to whom?
17:04 "O you who believe, whenever you want to pray and you are pure from Hadath,
17:10 then you must take wudu."
17:15 That is why it is narrated that the Prophet SAW,
17:18 during the opening of the city of Mecca,
17:21 the Prophet SAW once prayed five prayers with one wudu.
17:25 Five prayers with one wudu.
17:27 So, the Prophet SAW wants to teach us that
17:31 we can actually pray with the same wudu.
17:36 But it is sunnat sometimes,
17:38 every time we want to pray, we take wudu.
17:42 Maybe if we are pure from Hadath, it is obligatory.
17:44 But if we are not pure from Hadath, we still have wudu.
17:48 So, it is sunnat for us to renew our wudu,
17:53 to study this verse.
17:55 Because we want to get the advantage of wudu.
17:59 What is the advantage of wudu?
18:00 We will tell you in a moment.
18:02 "Fa-silo wujuhakum wa-aidiyakum ilal marafik."
18:05 So, here we see, it tells about four actions.
18:09 Four wudu.
18:15 The first one, ladies and gentlemen,
18:17 "Fa-silo wujuhakum wa-aidiyakum ilal marafik."
18:20 "I will make you wash your face."
18:24 We will wash our face from head to toe.
18:28 From top to bottom.
18:31 If you have a beard like mine,
18:35 you don't have to go that far, right?
18:38 You have to wash it from inside to outside.
18:41 It is the same with the beard.
18:43 Even if it is not that long,
18:44 you have to wash it until it is finished.
18:46 It must be watered.
18:47 So, from here to the ears,
18:49 to the bottom.
18:50 The scholars discussed it.
18:52 You have to cover it all.
18:53 And when we say wash,
18:55 it must have "Yusi lulmak."
18:57 "Isa latulmak."
18:58 Where the water must flow.
19:00 It is different from washing.
19:04 "Basuh" means we want the water to flow.
19:08 We want to feel it.
19:09 We wash.
19:11 So, the first one,
19:12 we want to wash our face
19:13 from head to toe.
19:15 "Wa-aidiyakum ilal marafik."
19:17 And the second one is
19:18 we wash our hands
19:20 until it reaches the elbow.
19:24 Does it reach the elbow or not?
19:25 It reaches the elbow in the Shafi'i religion.
19:28 Because "ila" here is translated as "ma'a".
19:31 It means wash your hands
19:33 until it reaches the elbow.
19:36 So, dear brothers,
19:37 if we want to wash,
19:38 we must wash from here to the elbow.
19:41 The scholars discussed it.
19:42 When it reached the verse,
19:43 they said,
19:44 this verse is interesting.
19:46 "Wa-aidiyakum ilal marafik."
19:48 It means,
19:49 this hand,
19:51 if we say,
19:52 the hand is covered a lot.
19:53 If we look at the Quran,
19:55 if we say,
19:56 this hand reaches here,
19:57 it is a hand too.
19:58 For example,
20:00 in the verse about cutting the hand
20:02 for the person who steals,
20:04 "faqata'u a'idiyahuma."
20:05 Cutting from here.
20:06 But the hand is also used in the Quran.
20:08 Here to here,
20:09 it is also counted as a hand.
20:11 Here to here,
20:12 it is also counted as a hand.
20:13 So,
20:14 to avoid confusion,
20:16 Allah SWT
20:18 has specified
20:19 and put His limits.
20:20 Where?
20:21 If not, we wash until we reach the top.
20:22 No.
20:23 Allah said,
20:24 "wa-aidiyakum ilal marafik."
20:26 Wash your hands from here,
20:28 from the end here,
20:29 until it covers, dear brothers,
20:31 our navel.
20:33 Why, Ustaz?
20:34 Why do we have to cover our navel?
20:37 Because this is a ta'abuni, dear brothers.
20:40 Don't ask.
20:41 Allah SWT told us to do so,
20:43 so we do it.
20:44 Wash your hands until you reach the navel.
20:46 The second.
20:47 The third.
20:48 "Wamsahu biru'u sikum."
20:50 And let us wash our heads.
20:55 Wash a part of our heads
20:58 or wash our heads.
21:00 Do you know what is the meaning of "Rahmatullah subhanahu wa ta'ala"?
21:02 Here, there is a disagreement among the scholars
21:05 about how to wash our heads.
21:07 So, according to our madhhab,
21:09 Madhhab al-Iman,
21:10 "ushrafahir rahimahullah,"
21:11 it is enough to wash
21:13 a part of our heads.
21:16 "Mayu'talaku 'alayhil masah."
21:18 What if we wash a little bit?
21:21 If that is counted as washing,
21:23 then it is already
21:25 ijaza.
21:26 It means that the washing is already done.
21:29 Although, actually,
21:31 what is sunnah,
21:32 for example,
21:33 if we say that we wash a little bit of our heads,
21:35 then in the Shafi'i Madhhab,
21:37 it is already passed.
21:39 But it is sunnah for us to wash
21:41 from the beginning
21:42 to the end
21:44 and back to the beginning.
21:47 Ladies and gentlemen,
21:48 "Rahmatullah subhanahu wa ta'ala."
21:49 So, if we are able,
21:50 because that is the best thing,
21:53 and actually,
21:54 if we look at other Madhhabs,
21:56 they actually require
21:58 to pass,
21:59 to wash our heads,
22:01 from the beginning
22:03 to the end.
22:04 So, ladies and gentlemen,
22:06 the washing is not
22:07 the very "Isha'a latul ma'a" itself.
22:09 It is not the flowing water.
22:10 It is only "al-balal."
22:12 It is enough to
22:14 wash a little bit.
22:16 And the washing, ladies and gentlemen,
22:18 is to the head
22:20 and the hair
22:22 that is on the top of the head.
22:24 Okay?
22:25 It is not the washing to the hair, actually.
22:27 If we say,
22:28 "Washing to the hair,"
22:29 then if the person has long hair,
22:30 then washing the hair is enough.
22:32 Right?
22:33 But no.
22:34 It has to be the washing of the hair
22:35 that is on the top of the head.
22:37 And once again,
22:38 according to our Madhhab,
22:40 it is enough for us to wash
22:41 just a little bit.
22:43 But the more "afdal"
22:44 is for us to wash
22:46 all of it,
22:47 from the front,
22:48 from the "man batasya'ar" of the front,
22:50 to the "kafah" of the back,
22:52 the back of the head.
22:53 We wash to the back,
22:54 and to the front again.
22:56 Okay, ladies and gentlemen?
22:58 So, that is the third.
23:00 "Wa arjulakum ilal ka'bain"
23:03 Right?
23:04 "Wamsahu biruusikum wa arjulakum ilal ka'bain"
23:07 So, here,
23:08 Allah SWT
23:10 commands us
23:12 to wash our feet
23:14 to the "ka'bain"
23:16 until we reach the "buku lali".
23:18 So, the "buku lali"
23:19 also needs to be covered.
23:22 It means that when we wash,
23:24 we need to wash until we reach
23:26 the "buku lali".
23:27 That is what we need to wash.
23:29 We cannot wash our feet
23:31 as soon as we leave.
23:33 Why?
23:34 Because this was once said
23:35 by the Prophet SAW.
23:37 Once upon a time,
23:38 the companions of the Prophet SAW,
23:40 they were in a hurry to perform prayer.
23:43 So, when they were in a hurry,
23:45 he quickly took the "ayatul mayang",
23:47 so that he could wash his feet
23:48 without being sprained.
23:49 He washed his front feet quickly.
23:50 He was in a hurry.
23:51 So, the Prophet SAW was angry.
23:53 And the Prophet SAW said,
23:54 "Wa illul lil'aqa bimin an-nar"
23:56 "It is a disaster for the people
23:58 who live in hell."
24:00 It means that this is something
24:02 that the Prophet SAW was firm about.
24:05 And we need to take care of it.
24:06 When Allah says,
24:07 "Wash your feet until you reach the "buku lali",
24:10 you need to cover the second one.
24:12 Then, we need to do
24:14 as requested by Allah SWT
24:17 without any shortcomings.
24:19 A little more is fine,
24:21 but not too much.
24:23 So, ladies and gentlemen,
24:24 we see that there are four "rukun"
24:26 that are mentioned in this verse.
24:28 But according to our Madhhab,
24:29 there are more "niyat"
24:31 that need to be taken into account.
24:32 "Tertib" also needs to be taken into account.
24:34 "Tertib" is according to this.
24:36 According to the order.
24:37 It means that Allah SWT,
24:38 when He arranged it in this verse,
24:40 that is how we should "tertib"
24:43 in taking wudu.
24:44 Ladies and gentlemen,
24:46 we take a short break.
24:48 Don't go anywhere.
24:49 My Quran Time.
24:50 Quran, Salat and Ifaat.
24:52 [Music]
25:01 [Music]
25:21 [Music]
25:44 [Music]
25:58 [Music]
26:13 [Music]
26:24 It is mentioned by Imam al-Nawawi
26:26 in the book of Riyad al-Sarhin,
26:27 in the chapter of repentance.
26:28 There are three ways to repent to Allah SWT.
26:31 This is our sin with Allah.
26:33 The first is that we leave the sin.
26:36 The second is that we regret it.
26:39 We won't repeat it.
26:40 The third is that we repent properly.
26:43 We won't repeat the sin.
26:46 So, regret, leave and repent.
26:49 But if the sin involves humans,
26:51 then at that time,
26:53 if it involves the property that has been wronged,
26:55 we have to go back.
26:56 For example,
26:57 if we have lied to someone in the investment,
27:00 not many,
27:01 but within 500 people,
27:02 we have to go and find that person,
27:04 apologize to him,
27:05 and go back.
27:06 Don't even lose a cent from the property that we have lied to.
27:09 That is important.
27:10 It is not like repenting,
27:12 it is okay to lie,
27:14 the important thing is to go to the mosque,
27:15 Tarawih 23,
27:16 or pray to Allah,
27:18 prostrate,
27:19 bow down on the floor,
27:20 because we have a lot of prostrations.
27:22 It is meaningless in the sight of Allah.
27:24 [Music]

29:13 Ladies and gentlemen,
29:14 May Allah's mercy be upon you.
29:15 So, today we want to learn a new word,
29:18 InshaAllah.
29:19 The word of our choice today,
29:21 you can see it on the screen.
29:24 The word is,
29:25 /Aula Mastumun Nisa.
29:27 The word is,
29:28 /La Masa.
29:29 Which is mentioned in the sixth verse,
29:31 /Aula Mastumun Nisa.
29:33 So, it means,
29:34 /Touching or holding.
29:36 /La Masa is there.
29:38 So, it is mentioned in the Quran
29:40 five times.
29:41 And among the surahs which contain this word,
29:44 is Surah An-Nisa,
29:45 verse 43,
29:46 Surah Al-An'am,
29:47 verse 7,
29:48 and also,
29:49 Surah Al-Jinn,
29:50 verse 8.
29:51 So, that is our word,
29:52 /La Masa.
29:53 Which means,
29:54 /Holding or touching.
29:57 Please, Dr.
29:58 Alhamdulillah.
29:59 Thank you, Dr. Arif Musa,
30:01 for the words.
30:02 Let's,
30:03 this name,
30:05 learn a little bit of Tafjid today.
30:07 I ask for permission,
30:08 I want to wake up a little.
30:09 Okay, please, Dr.
30:10 Alhamdulillah.
30:11 We see,
30:12 the words or our verse today,
30:14 which is,
30:15 /Ya ayyuhal ladhina amanu,
30:17 iza kumtum ilas salah.
30:19 O, believers,
30:21 tell us about how we can perform the prayer.
30:25 Okay,
30:26 we see the words which are in a line.
30:28 The first one is,
30:29 /Iza kumtum ilas salah.
30:31 The words,
30:32 /Ya ayyuhal ladhina amanu,
30:33 are the usual words.
30:35 The words which we read in the Quran.
30:37 The words which we find.
30:38 For those who love the Quran,
30:40 they will always find,
30:42 /Ya ayyuhal ladhina amanu.
30:44 There are also,
30:45 the words which are in a line,
30:47 or in our column,
30:48 /Iza kumtum ilas salah.
30:50 We focus on those words,
30:52 to see,
30:54 what are the common mistakes,
30:56 which happen in the reading of the Quran.
30:59 The first one,
31:00 /Iza/ is the letter /Za/,
31:03 which in the Malay language,
31:05 we rarely use the letter /Za/,
31:07 we use the letter /Z/ more,
31:09 which is closer to /Zai/.
31:11 So, when we read the Quran,
31:13 there is another mistake in our column,
31:16 /Iza/, the letter /Za/ is read with /Zai/.
31:19 /Iza kumtum/
31:21 Because,
31:22 /Za/ is replaced with /Zai/.
31:24 So, make sure,
31:25 the tip of the tongue,
31:26 must be a little bit out.
31:28 The tip of the tongue,
31:29 must be placed under the upper teeth.
31:32 /Iza kumtum/
31:35 Try to say it,
31:36 one, two, start.
31:37 /Iza kumtum/
32:04 That was the first one,
32:06 /Iza/,
32:07 we find it a lot in the Quran,
32:09 /Iza/,
32:10 make sure the tip of the tongue,
32:11 is a little bit out.
32:12 Don't be shy,
32:13 don't feel shy to put your tongue out,
32:15 a little bit, don't put too much.
32:16 /Iza/,
32:17 if it's too much,
32:18 it will become a weird sound.
32:21 So, put it out a little bit,
32:23 the tip of the tongue,
32:24 must be placed under the upper teeth.
32:27 Then, /Kumtum/
32:30 Try to say it,
32:31 /Iza kumtum/
32:36 Don't be confused with the word in English,
32:39 /Kuntum/ or something.
32:41 So,
32:42 when this word,
32:43 how do you see it?
32:45 After the letter /Kof/,
32:46 which is read /Kum/,
32:48 the sound of the Quran,
32:49 /Kum/,
32:50 there is a letter /Ta/,
32:52 which is a little bit small,
32:54 and weak in the meaning of /Kof/.
32:56 So, the common mistake,
32:58 is to change /Ta/ to the letter,
33:00 which is strong,
33:01 which is /Ta/.
33:02 Because /Kof/ is strong,
33:03 it's easy for us to make a mistake.
33:06 /Iza kumtum/
33:07 So, /Kumtum/
33:09 So,
33:10 make sure,
33:11 after we say /Kum/,
33:13 make sure the /Ta/ is lowered.
33:15 /Iza kumtum/
33:18 One, two, start.
33:19 /Iza kumtum/
33:21 Okay.
33:22 /Iza kumtum/
33:24 /Iza kumtum/
33:27 /Ya ayyuhal lazeena aamanuu/
33:34 /Iza kumtum ilas salaah/
33:40 /Ya ayyuhal lazeena aamanuu/
33:47 /Iza kumtum ilas salaah/
33:52 Okay.
33:53 Two, two, close your mouth.
33:55 /Kum/,
33:56 /Kum/
33:57 There are two /Mi/, right?
33:58 /Mi/, two,
33:59 /Kum/ and /Kum/
34:01 Don't open and close one of them.
34:03 Okay, one more time.
34:04 /Ya ayyuhal lazeena aamanuu/
34:12 /Iza kumtum ilas salaah/
34:18 /Ya ayyuhal lazeena aamanuu/
34:26 /Iza kumtum ilas salaah/
34:32 Okay, the last one.
34:33 The word /Ilas salaah/
34:35 Make the sound thicker.
34:37 /Ilas/
34:38 /Ilas salaah/
34:41 Try to say it.
34:42 /Ilas salaah/
34:54 /Iza kumtum ilas salaah/
35:04 Okay.
35:05 Let's do it together.
35:07 We'll enjoy it again in our studio
35:09 and of course, the audience at home
35:11 to practice together
35:14 this sixth verse
35:16 in the first and second rows.
35:19 /Ya ayyuhal lazeena aamanuu/
35:28 /Iza kumtum ilas salaah/
35:35 /Ya ayyuhal lazeena aamanuu/
35:43 /Iza kumtum ilas salaah/
35:49 /Iza kumtum ilas salaah/
36:14 The word /Farsilu wujuhakum/
36:16 Because the 'lam' is in the front.
36:19 There's a 'wa' that dies.
36:20 We're already long.
36:21 /Farsilu/
36:22 'wa' dies.
36:23 Then, the letters after that
36:25 that are in a row too,
36:26 coincidentally, the letter 'wa' too
36:28 which causes sometimes
36:30 the letter 'wa' can be drowned
36:32 because the letter 'wa' is also in a row in the front
36:35 and we read it like this.
36:37 /Farsilu wujuhakum/
36:40 Realizing it, just press 'jim'.
36:42 /Farsilu wujuhakum/
36:45 Because the 'wa' is in the 'ma'
36:48 which is also 'wa'
36:51 So, when the letter 'wa' is in the front,
36:54 just press it a little.
36:56 /Farsilu wujuhakum/
36:59 Please.
37:00 /Farsilu wujuhakum/
37:20 It's a little weak
37:21 because we're already past the letter 'wa'
37:24 because the letter 'ma' is in the front.
37:27 So, when we want to press 'wa'
37:29 we have to press the intonation of the voice a little
37:31 or it's called as 'nabru'
37:34 the sound of the voice
37:35 so that we can see the letter 'wa' is in the front.
37:37 /Iza kuntum ilas salati/
37:41 /Farsilu wujuhakum/
37:54 Okay, let's repeat it again from the beginning.
37:57 /Ya ayyuhal lazeena aamanuu/
38:05 /Iza kuntum ilas salati/
38:11 /Ya ayyuhal lazeena aamanuu/
38:19 /Iza kuntum ilas salati/
38:24 /Iza kuntum ilas salati/
38:29 /Farsilu wujuhakum/
38:32 /Wa ayyuhakum ilal marafiq/
38:38 /Iza kuntum ilas salati/
38:43 /Farsilu wujuhakum/
38:47 /Wa ayyuhakum ilal marafiq/
38:51 MashaAllah, Tabaraka Allah
38:53 The best of all the people in the Middle East
38:55 Hopefully, we all will be blessed by Allah SWT
38:58 with Al-Quran and our Musafir
39:00 to become a Musafir who will be blessed by Allah SWT
39:03 We will take a short break
39:05 Don't go anywhere
39:06 There is a verse to be discussed
39:08 My Quran Time
39:09 Quran, Salat, Infah
39:11 Quran, Salat, Infah
39:21 /Wa ja'alhu lana hujjatain/
39:41 /Wa ja'alhu lana hujjatain/
40:00 /Wa ja'alhu lana hujjatain/
40:13 /Wa ja'alhu lana hujjatain/
40:33 /Minhumajahila waruzukunatila watahu/
40:44 The story of dreams
40:47 If the story of dreams is about people who are not seen as the bearer of religious messages
40:53 Maybe it won't be an issue
40:55 But for people who are seen as the bearer of religious messages
41:02 who have followers
41:05 If the content of the message is dependent on dreams
41:11 I think that's not logical
41:14 Because dreams are not a source of conditions
41:17 If the content of the dream is not in accordance with the conditions
41:24 then someone has to do something based on the conditions
41:30 not based on the direction of the dream
41:32 That's because everyone can claim dreams
41:34 If people claim that I dream, the Prophet said this and so on
41:40 It becomes difficult
41:44 /Wa ja'alhu lana hujjatain/
41:50 /Ya Ruhbal 'Alamin/
42:09 Alhamdulillah, we are back in My Quran Time
42:13 Quran, Salat and Infaq
42:15 Ladies and gentlemen, with the mercy of Allah, we have just discussed the verse about wudu'
42:21 We have explained how we should do wudu'
42:25 Inshallah
42:26 We will discuss wudu' in more detail later
42:29 when we go to the Fiqh lecture
42:33 Ladies and gentlemen,
42:34 /Wa inkuntum junuban fatahharu/
42:37 After the verse about wudu' Allah SWT will bring a situation
42:41 where someone is in a big hadath
42:45 If the wudu' refers to lifting a small hadath
42:49 If we are in a big hadath,
42:51 /Fatahharu/
42:52 Then someone must take a bath
42:55 Ladies and gentlemen, when we worship Allah SWT
42:59 we will go through several situations
43:02 which may make us feel a little bit thirsty
43:06 whether we want to do wudu' or take a bath
43:10 In this situation, Allah SWT will make it easier for us
43:14 so that we can still perform prayer
43:16 so that we can maintain our relationship with Allah SWT
43:19 so that we can always maintain our relationship with Allah
43:22 In a situation where we do not have water
43:27 we are allowed to take a bath
43:31 This is mentioned in the verse
43:33 /Wa inkuntum marda aw ala safar/
43:36 If you are sick
43:39 For example, this illness refers to an illness that cannot be affected by water
43:43 For example, if you have a skin disease
43:45 which cannot be affected by water
43:47 then you are allowed to take a bath
43:49 But if the illness is just a little bit
43:52 then people say, "Don't be ridiculous"
43:54 /Wa inkuntum marda/
43:57 If someone is sick, an illness that cannot be affected by water
44:01 /Wa inkuntum marda ala safar/
44:03 Or if the person is a traveler
44:05 the traveler cannot get water
44:07 If the traveler is in a desert or any other difficult place
44:10 to get water
44:11 But if the traveler takes a bath on the beach
44:14 or if the traveler is in a river
44:18 then there is no need to perform prayer
44:23 /A'uja'a ahadum minkum minal gha'id/
44:26 Or if someone comes to you from a place of Hajj
44:29 /Al-gha'id/
44:31 /Al-gha'id/
44:32 /Al-gha'id/
44:34 /Al-gha'id/
44:35 /Al-gha'id/
44:36 /Al-gha'id/
44:37 /Al-gha'id/
44:38 /Al-gha'id/
44:39 /Al-gha'id/
44:40 /Al-gha'id/
44:41 /Al-gha'id/
44:42 /Al-gha'id/
44:43 /Al-gha'id/
44:44 /Al-gha'id/
44:45 /Al-gha'id/
44:46 /Al-gha'id/
44:47 /Al-gha'id/
44:48 /Al-gha'id/
44:49 /Al-gha'id/
44:50 /Al-gha'id/
44:51 /Al-gha'id/
44:52 /Al-gha'id/
44:53 /Al-gha'id/
44:54 /Al-gha'id/
44:55 /Al-gha'id/
44:56 /Al-gha'id/
44:57 /Al-gha'id/
44:58 /Al-gha'id/
44:59 /Al-gha'id/
45:00 /Al-gha'id/
45:01 /Al-gha'id/
45:02 /Al-gha'id/
45:03 /Al-gha'id/
45:04 /Al-gha'id/
45:05 /Al-gha'id/
45:06 /Al-gha'id/
45:07 /Al-gha'id/
45:08 /Al-gha'id/
45:09 /Al-gha'id/
45:10 /Al-gha'id/
45:11 /Al-gha'id/
45:12 /Al-gha'id/
45:13 /Al-gha'id/
45:14 /Al-gha'id/
45:15 /Al-gha'id/
45:16 /Al-gha'id/
45:17 /Al-gha'id/
45:18 /Al-gha'id/
45:19 /Al-gha'id/
45:20 /Al-gha'id/
45:21 /Al-gha'id/
45:22 /Al-gha'id/
45:23 /Al-gha'id/
45:24 /Al-gha'id/
45:25 /Al-gha'id/
45:26 /Al-gha'id/
45:27 /Al-gha'id/
45:28 /Al-gha'id/
45:29 /Al-gha'id/
45:30 /Al-gha'id/
45:31 /Al-gha'id/
45:32 /Al-gha'id/
45:33 /Al-gha'id/
45:34 /Al-gha'id/
45:35 /Al-gha'id/
45:36 /Al-gha'id/
45:37 /Al-gha'id/
45:38 /Al-gha'id/
45:39 /Al-gha'id/
45:40 /Al-gha'id/
45:41 /Al-gha'id/
45:42 /Al-gha'id/
45:43 /Al-gha'id/
45:44 /Al-gha'id/
45:45 /Al-gha'id/
45:46 /Al-gha'id/
45:47 /Al-gha'id/
45:48 /Al-gha'id/
45:49 /Al-gha'id/
45:50 /Al-gha'id/
45:51 /Al-gha'id/
45:52 /Al-gha'id/
45:53 /Al-gha'id/
45:54 /Al-gha'id/
45:55 /Al-gha'id/
45:56 /Al-gha'id/
45:57 /Al-gha'id/
45:58 /Al-gha'id/
45:59 /Al-gha'id/
46:00 /Al-gha'id/
46:01 /Al-gha'id/
46:02 /Al-gha'id/
46:03 /Al-gha'id/
46:04 /Al-gha'id/
46:05 /Al-gha'id/
46:06 /Al-gha'id/
46:07 /Al-gha'id/
46:08 /Al-gha'id/
46:09 /Al-gha'id/
46:10 /Al-gha'id/
46:11 /Al-gha'id/
46:12 /Al-gha'id/
46:13 /Al-gha'id/
46:14 /Al-gha'id/
46:15 /Al-gha'id/
46:16 /Al-gha'id/
46:17 /Al-gha'id/
46:18 /Al-gha'id/
46:19 /Al-gha'id/
46:20 /Al-gha'id/
46:21 /Al-gha'id/
46:22 /Al-gha'id/
46:23 /Al-gha'id/
46:24 /Al-gha'id/
46:25 /Al-gha'id/
46:26 /Al-gha'id/
46:27 /Al-gha'id/
46:28 /Al-gha'id/
46:29 /Al-gha'id/
46:30 /Al-gha'id/
46:31 /Al-gha'id/
46:32 /Al-gha'id/
46:33 /Al-gha'id/
46:34 /Al-gha'id/
46:35 /Al-gha'id/
46:36 /Al-gha'id/
46:37 /Al-gha'id/
46:38 /Al-gha'id/
46:39 /Al-gha'id/
46:40 /Al-gha'id/
46:41 /Al-gha'id/
46:42 /Al-gha'id/
46:43 /Al-gha'id/
46:44 /Al-gha'id/
46:45 /Al-gha'id/
46:46 /Al-gha'id/
46:47 /Al-gha'id/
46:48 /Al-gha'id/
46:49 /Al-gha'id/
46:50 /Al-gha'id/
46:51 /Al-gha'id/
46:52 /Al-gha'id/
46:53 /Al-gha'id/
46:54 /Al-gha'id/
46:55 /Al-gha'id/
46:56 /Al-gha'id/
46:57 /Al-gha'id/
46:58 /Al-gha'id/
46:59 /Al-gha'id/
47:00 /Al-gha'id/
47:01 /Al-gha'id/
47:02 /Al-gha'id/
47:03 /Al-gha'id/
47:04 /Al-gha'id/
47:06 /Fa-tayyam ma-mu'su'ayyi dan tayyibah/
47:08 So if we want to do tayyamum, we should do tayyamum with soil, with clay.
47:13 /Tayyibah/ means it must be clean.
47:16 Don't go and take it from a place where there are cat poop or anything.
47:20 Don't go there. That's what we're looking for.
47:23 They say there's an extra smell there.
47:25 There's none, gentlemen.
47:27 /Fam sahu bi wujuhikum wa a'idikum/
47:31 And after we've cleaned it, we should wash our face.
47:36 If we wash our face, it's the same as if we're washing the dishes.
47:39 We have to cover all of our faces.
47:42 So we clean it, and then there's the process of removing the dust.
47:49 And there's a little bit of the dust that we wash our face with.
47:54 Then we clean it again.
47:56 /Wa'aydiikummin/
47:58 So we do it again. There's a process to remove the dust.
48:03 Some scholars say to throw it away.
48:05 But we don't. We throw a little bit away.
48:08 Then we start from the hands, until we feel like we're taking a wudu.
48:13 Here, it reaches the buttocks.
48:16 It's the same as in the Shafi'i mazhab.
48:19 So tayyamum is when we use the dust to wash our face and our hands.
48:28 What about the feet, Ustaz?
48:30 Did we mention the feet? No, right?
48:32 So there's no such thing as tayyamum.
48:34 So we say that we follow what's written in the Quran.
48:38 Not what we think of.
48:40 If it's not mentioned in the Quran, then it's not necessary.
48:43 So it's enough to just have these two.
48:46 Then Allah SWT says,
48:48 /Ma yuridullahu liya ja'ala alaikum min haraj/
48:51 Allah SWT doesn't want to make you look bad.
48:55 Allah SWT doesn't want to make us look bad in this matter of religion.
48:59 Why? Because Allah SWT wants us to be close to Him.
49:03 Allah SWT wants us to worship Him.
49:06 So Allah opens up a space.
49:08 So if there's no water, then you just need tayyamum.
49:11 So tayyamum can cover wudu, and also mandatory bathing.
49:16 That's why in a hadith of the Prophet SAW,
49:19 there's a companion during a battle.
49:22 He was injured.
49:25 During the time he was injured, he had a dream.
49:28 What do we call it? A wet dream.
49:31 So when he was dreaming, he needed to bathe.
49:34 So he asked other companions,
49:36 "How is this? I'm sick. My hand can't touch the water."
49:39 So the other companions said, "No, you need to bathe too."
49:43 So this poor companion, may Allah be pleased with him,
49:46 bathed, and died.
49:48 Because he was able to withstand the pain from the water,
49:51 because of the injury to his body, he finally died.
49:54 When the news was conveyed to the Prophet SAW,
49:57 he was very angry.
49:59 Because his other companions had answered without knowledge.
50:05 Because the Prophet SAW said,
50:07 "It's enough if he just does tayyamum."
50:10 Because this religion is not difficult.
50:12 Allah wants to make it easy for us.
50:14 So tayyamum is enough for him to perform his morning prayer.
50:18 But Allah wants to cleanse you.
50:23 We cleanse.
50:24 It's interesting,
50:25 we take wudu five times a day.
50:28 Or at least four times.
50:29 Maybe some people do maghrib and isha with one wudu.
50:32 So in short,
50:34 if we go to a dry country,
50:37 sometimes they wash their face.
50:41 They don't bathe.
50:42 People in other Arab countries don't bathe.
50:44 So they wash their face maybe in the morning and evening.
50:47 In the morning before going to work,
50:49 and at night before going to sleep.
50:51 But Allah wants to cleanse us.
50:53 We wash our feet five times.
50:55 Not our face,
50:56 but our feet.
50:57 We wash our feet five times a day.
50:59 Because Allah wants to cleanse us from all the sins
51:04 and sins of the heart.
51:06 And finally Allah says,
51:11 because Allah wants to perfect His blessings for you,
51:13 in the sense of His Shariah for us,
51:15 so that we become grateful servants to Allah SWT,
51:19 by always performing the Shariah that has been revealed.
51:24 So alhamdulillah, ladies and gentlemen,
51:26 Allah's mercy,
51:27 this verse has many more debates.
51:29 Maybe if you want to refer to the deeper debates,
51:33 you can go to the fiqh classes outside.
51:36 So let's look at our resolution today.
51:40 Ladies and gentlemen,
51:41 Allah's mercy,
51:42 first,
51:43 always perform the wudu' perfectly
51:46 so that all sins are erased.
51:48 So I mentioned about the excess of wudu'.
51:51 Remember,
51:52 with the water that falls from our wudu' members,
51:54 then let the sins that we do so often be thrown away.
52:00 We always commit sins.
52:02 InshaAllah,
52:03 the sins will be thrown away from the water of wudu'.
52:06 Wash yourself from all dirtiness and impurities.
52:10 And the last thing is,
52:11 it is important to perform the prayer,
52:13 even though there is no water,
52:15 and let us pray together.
52:17 So alhamdulillah, ladies and gentlemen,
52:18 we have finished our discussion on the sixth verse in Surah Al-Ma'idah.
52:24 Alhamdulillah,
52:25 I will now hand over to Al-Fadil Sass to pray.
52:28 Please, Sass.
