Luke Getsy on Achieving Better Consistency with Bears Offense

Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Luke Getsy sees the need for more consistency with the team's attack, a problem through much of this season.

00:09 We know that we have to execute better, period.

00:11 More consistently is probably the better way to say it.

00:13 I think week to week, when we got to come in here and we're saying,

00:16 execute well, when we got to come in here and say, we didn't execute very well.

00:19 And last week we had a really good challenge, right?

00:21 This defense is real.

00:23 They've been real all year long.

00:24 And like you guys said, in that building, they're really tough.

00:28 And when you have those challenges and when they're in your face, and

00:32 you have, they're on the attack, you got to be able to man up and

00:36 execute at a high level.

00:37 Like coach talks about, it's fundamentals technique.

00:39 And you're stressed out by really good players.

00:41 You got to be on point with your fundamentals and technique.

00:44 And we weren't good enough last week.

00:45 I think it's just that, right?

00:46 I think it's just taking it, taking it, and

00:49 keeping it simple to your fundamentals, your technique, your assignment,

00:52 your alignment, your assignment key, and your technique.

00:54 And if we keep it simple like that, stay focused, and

00:58 not let what's happening in the moment change what our responsibility is,

01:01 we'll be fine.

01:02 And I think that's part of the growth is playing together.

01:04 I think it's the chemistry thing.

01:05 Guys are starting to get really comfortable with each other.

01:08 And so you're starting to see those things pop up that are really cool.

01:11 And so I think that's what we're looking for.

01:13 We're looking for that promise, looking for that growth.

01:15 And if we can hit this thing consistently, I think we're just gonna take off.
