00:00 Well, speaking of hitting the airwaves,
00:01 how about checking out the US flight
00:04 cancellation forecast exclusively
00:05 from Accuweather and for each of
00:07 the next five days through the
00:08 holiday weekend into next week,
00:10 we've got 100 or less cancellations
00:12 that are forecast now that may seem
00:14 like a lot, but consider that in
00:16 the middle of summer when we have
00:17 a lot of thunderstorms, this number
00:19 is routinely as high as 300 to 400.
00:21 So in the winter season,
00:23 if you don't have any really big storms
00:25 going in any of the really big cities,
00:27 usually you're between 50 and 100,
00:29 and that's what we are moving forward.
00:31 And now here's your Saturday travel
00:33 outlook across the lower 48.
00:34 You see the areas of concern here.
00:36 We've got some rain here in the Ohio
00:38 Valley to the Great Lakes snow north
00:40 of the border and also into the West.
00:42 That's where we have big problems
00:44 up in the morning.
00:45 Phoenix will have some flooding,
00:46 which is could be going on tonight,
00:48 and then we have some morning
00:50 fog in Minneapolis.
00:50 Morning rain in Chicago showers in
00:52 Dallas which will give you some delays.
00:54 The rain will become heavier in
00:56 Dallas on Saturday night into Sunday,
00:58 though, and Denver you'll have rain
00:59 during the day on Saturday with
01:01 highs in the 50s and then you'll
01:03 turn colder and it'll turn into snow
01:05 into the end of the weekend.
01:06 Couple of inches of snow for you.
01:08 So here's a closer look at the Southwest,
01:10 which is an area we've been dealing
01:12 with a lot for tough weather lately.
01:14 We're going to have rain early
01:16 in the morning here in Phoenix.
01:18 There could be some flooding concerns there,
01:20 and then that storm system presses east.
01:22 Rain in Denver during the day.
01:23 Snow into Saturday night and
01:25 Sunday in the Mile High City.
01:26 High tomorrow in the I-5 corridor cities.
01:28 Some snow in Helena coding to an inch for
01:31 you but more in the mountains Salt Lake City.
01:33 You've got a wintry mix as you
01:35 head toward the central plains.
01:37 We have some rain here across
01:38 Nebraska with a little bit of snow
01:40 onto the front range of the mountains.
01:43 And then as we look at areas farther
01:45 South, some rain will turn heavier
01:47 as we head into Saturday night.
01:50 Michelle.
