00:00 Storms in the east could make for travel
00:02 issues as we round out the week.
00:04 Jeff Cornish has more in
00:05 tonight's travel outlook.
00:06 But we have a lot of concerns tied to
00:10 travel delays, flight cancellations
00:11 possible in some parts of the Northeast,
00:13 especially near I-95,
00:14 kind of hedging toward the eastern
00:15 part of that green zone on Friday.
00:17 Heat in the West.
00:18 It's a problem,
00:19 but it's less of an issue specifically
00:21 associated with travel were also
00:22 going to be tracking some occasional
00:24 storms through parts of the central
00:26 plains again and various parts
00:27 of the southeast as well.
00:29 The Northwest, though,
00:30 from a travel standpoint, looks good.
00:31 It's going to be hot and Boise
00:33 on the valley floor there.
00:34 104 Reno.
00:35 You're not exempt from the heat either.
00:37 104 degrees for you don't want to
00:39 break down with heat like that into
00:41 San Francisco gets a little breezy
00:42 in the afternoon heading farther East.
00:44 Scattered thunderstorms will break
00:45 out into Denver in the afternoon
00:46 and evening.
00:47 Kind of similar to what we've
00:48 seen earlier today.
00:49 Albuquerque also scattered
00:50 thunderstorms will be roaming around
00:51 into parts of the land of enchantment.
00:53 That's the state of New Mexico
00:55 into Casper and Denver.
00:56 Again, stormy storms into the afternoon,
00:57 but farther East, much of the north.
00:59 Central US will take a break and it looks
01:01 a little more comfortable into the Twin
01:03 Cities scattered storms into Little Rock,
01:05 Arkansas and into New Orleans
01:06 heading into the southeast.
01:07 Some of these storms could lead
01:09 to flash flooding and they could
01:10 be gusty, possibly damaging.
01:11 Thunderstorms possible into the Atlanta
01:13 Metro storminess into a Nashville
01:14 and in the afternoon almost any
01:15 part of Florida could see some of
01:17 that from the Ohio Valley into
01:19 the area around the Great Lakes.
01:20 We have two thumbs up,
01:22 but the Northeast will still be
01:23 stormy with some disruptions and
01:25 some of these storms could be
01:26 some of these disruptions and some
01:28 of these scattered storms from
01:29 Baltimore to the Northeast could
01:31 lead to some flight cancellations.
01:32 Or delays.
01:33 In fact, we have expected around
01:35 1000 flight cancellations in
01:36 your Friday forecast.
