00:02 - I'm living in the moment, man.
00:12 Like I'm appreciating the guys
00:14 and just being around like Tremaine, those guys,
00:16 TJ, D-Walk, like all the new guys,
00:18 a new face on the team
00:19 and just the relationship we built within a year, man.
00:22 It's like, it's crazy.
00:24 So I haven't really thought about it.
00:26 You know, Laura, I hope I'm here next year,
00:29 but like I said, man, God always has a plan.
00:32 So I feel like I always land on my feet.
00:35 I hope he's here.
00:36 You know, I know how it works in the business.
00:37 I wish I can be here my whole entire career,
00:39 but we know how this thing works,
00:41 but it's just, you gotta live in the moment.
00:43 You know, you got two more games guaranteed.
00:45 Like I said last time,
00:46 like I'm guaranteed two more games as a Chicago Bears.
00:48 So I'm gonna live in that moment.
00:50 I'm appreciate every moment of it.
00:52 I feel like it was one of the most craziest seasons I had,
00:54 honestly.
00:55 And I told the guys that like,
00:56 I never experienced nothing like that.
00:58 Like losing a coordinator,
01:00 the season off to, you know,
01:02 not the type of start we thought we was gonna have.
01:05 Then guys going down, getting banged up,
01:07 me going out missing six games.
01:10 Then another coach resigned.
01:11 It was just, it was just so, so crazy.
01:13 But one thing we learned is like, you know,
01:17 destruction comes first, you know,
01:18 like things has to be teared down
01:20 for you to see the glory of it in the end.
01:22 So I feel like it's something bright, honestly, man.
01:25 Like it's something good coming to this team.
01:28 And that's just like with life, you know,
01:30 when you go through troubles and trials and tribulations
01:32 through life, man, at the end of that tunnel,
01:34 it's always light.
01:34 So I feel like it's something special with this team, man.
01:37 And it sucks that we caught fire late in the season,
01:41 especially as a defense.
01:42 But like I said,
01:43 it's certain things you can't control, man,
01:45 with the injuries and things like that.
01:46 But it mean everything, man.
01:48 Like just coming here from Alabama, man,
01:50 the tradition of it, the history, Rich, man,
01:54 it's just, everything is just so, it's family-oriented.
01:58 Like you walk through that lobby, man,
02:00 you see all the Hall of Famers on the wall.
02:02 It's just, man, like that's the goal.
02:04 And just to see the type of tradition
02:06 that the Bears has built, you know,
02:07 one of the first organizations.
02:09 So it just means a lot.
02:11 And for me to be here for seven years and watch,
02:14 you know, different coaches come,
02:15 different GM, different players,
02:18 you build those relationships with them
02:19 and you learn from the older guys.
02:21 And, you know, it's for me to pass it down
02:23 to the younger guys and just see how I can affect someone
02:26 just by being around them,
02:28 just your presence, the conversation.
02:30 It means everything to me and I love it.
02:33 I enjoy it.
02:34 And I don't take it for granted.
02:36 As you know, I've been hurt before.
02:38 So just being away from the team
02:40 and being away from the building,
02:41 it just, it takes a toll on you.
02:43 So you have to live in that moment
02:44 and really appreciate it for the moment that you have here.
02:47 - To that end.
