00:00 The storm has to pull out of the northeast and it's going to do so with some significant impacts.
00:04 For more on that we're going to turn to Chief Meteorologist John Porter who has a lot more on
00:09 what's going on. And John for the Big East Coast cities if you were hoping for snow it's a swing
00:13 and miss this time. Yeah it's out on strikes on this one Melissa and if it sounds like a
00:18 broken record that we're talking about the risk again for major flooding along the I-95 corridor
00:24 you're right but please don't let your guard down in here as heavy rain once again enters the I-95
00:30 corridor a renewed risk for major flooding the ground is saturated waterways are already running
00:35 high this is going to be a very serious problem download the AccuWeather app turn on push
00:39 notifications so you could stay informed as this heavy rain tonight translates east by 9 a 9 p.m.
00:46 New York City down to Philadelphia and Washington D.C. and then eastbound at a Boston, Connecticut,
00:51 Rhode Island hard hit from the storm earlier this week again major flood concerns in these areas
00:57 once again with the risk for rapidly rising water and then it's the cold air on the backside of the
01:02 system that is going to start pouring in across portions of the northeast on these gusty winds
01:08 and look at these wind gusts 40 to 60 miles per hour highest gust 60 to 70 maybe right along the
01:13 immediate coastline so trees and power lines are coming down a concern again with power outages
01:20 and then we want to also hit on in the wake of this storm as that cold air surges across the
01:26 relatively mild unfrozen waters of the Great Lakes its lake effects snow and I want to hone in
01:32 a serious situation in the Buffalo area with an intense snow band it may be very narrow
01:39 only a couple miles wide but producing snow bands a snow intensity of one to three inches per hour
01:48 that can produce some life-threatening traveling conditions that's a big concern because we have
01:52 that big football game in Orchard Park on Sunday decision big decisions that officials are going
01:57 to need to make there and they're looking to do that in the next couple of hours. AccuWeather
02:02 chief meteorologist John Porter thank you again for joining us again as you mentioned Buffalo
02:07 looking to make that decision as we go into tomorrow afternoon.
