00:09 This makes him the sixth persatu MP to back Anwar

00:12 after Syed Abu Hussein Hafiz Syed Abu Fasal,

00:15 Iskandar Zulkarnain Abu Khalid,

00:17 Suhaili Abdul Rahman,

00:19 Azizi Abu Naim,

00:20 and Zahari Kecik.

00:22 In a statement, Zulkaf Peri said

00:24 he is voluntarily backing the unity government

00:27 and is not under pressure to do so.

00:30 He said he chose to support Anwar

00:33 so that he could take care of his constituency

00:36 and the people would see benefits

00:37 such as upgrades in infrastructure.

00:40 Zulkaf Peri also said

00:42 he would support the government's policies and initiatives

00:45 until the next general election.

00:48 However, he stressed that he is still with persatu

00:51 and would never betray the party.
