00:00 [MUSIC]
00:07 Welcome to Mojo Plays.
00:09 And today, we remember the internet is forever as we look at some of the biggest upcoming video games that have leaked well before their official reveals.
00:18 [MUSIC]
00:27 Fallout 3 Remaster.
00:29 It's a big world out there, son. Full of all sorts of people.
00:33 What about you? What kind of person are you going to be?
00:36 Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard was one of the most covered news stories for far too long.
00:42 But it did accidentally give fans a look behind the curtain into Bethesda's possible release schedule.
00:48 And more than a couple titles stood out.
00:51 The main supposed upcoming releases include a remaster of Bethesda's first steps into the Fallout universe.
00:57 Bethesda completely changed the original series' formula and adopted the franchise to their more traditional first-person perspective.
01:04 But maintained much of the franchise's player choice driven narrative.
01:08 The reinvention of the franchise was well received and has remained a high point for Bethesda's Fallout games.
01:14 Alongside another possible remaster of another Bethesda classic, The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, also mentioned in the documents and which arguably needs even more of an update.
01:25 No. That was the dream. I'm awake now. I must fulfill my oath to the Emperor before I can finally rest.
01:35 Ori 3. Moon Studios debuted on the Metroidvania scene in a big way with their Ori series back in 2015.
01:43 And their follow-up in 2020 was even more widely praised for its gameplay, level design, and challenging exploration.
01:50 The developers have since announced their next project, No Rest for the Wicked, which seems to be an even more ambitious venture for the young studio.
01:58 However, given the success of the Ori series for Xbox Game Studios, the publisher would be remiss to let the IP lay dormant.
02:06 Recent rumors have pointed to Microsoft handing off development of a sequel to a new developer.
02:12 And given the finality of Will of the Wisps, we'll most likely follow a new set of characters.
02:18 Ori is quite often front and center in much of Microsoft's marketing, so fans of the Metroidvania might not have to wait too long for a new adventure to explore.
02:27 Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Remake
02:31 So if it's fortune and adventure you seek, then Captain Edward can weigh your mind.
02:38 Only, don't meddle in his private affairs.
02:42 Skull & Bones might be Ubisoft's next adventure on the high seas, but for many fans, there's no greater pirate adventure than that of Edward Kenway.
02:51 Widely regarded as one of the best games in the franchise, and certainly a fan favorite.
02:56 After the PR nightmare and development hell that has been Skull & Bones, it would make sense for Ubisoft to give fans the chance to set sail again in one of the developers' best games.
03:07 While we would of course prefer remakes of the first Assassin's Creed or the Ezio trilogy, and this will obviously be a long way off,
03:14 just look at the state of the poor Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell remakes,
03:18 it definitely makes sense for Ubisoft to get the most out of all that time and money spent on the technology created for Skull & Bones and revisit the Caribbean.
03:27 You threw in with the very kind we once hated!
03:31 No!
03:32 Borderlands 4
03:34 Bloody!
03:37 LinkedIn is a great way for developers to find their next job, but they might want to be a bit more discreet about the projects they've worked on.
03:49 A former studio director claims to have worked on numerous 2K and Gearbox games,
03:54 most notably the long-dormant Brothers in Arms series, Borderlands 4, and even a Tiny Tina's Wonderland sequel, all seemingly built using Unreal Engine 4.
04:05 The Borderlands series is Gearbox's most profitable and recognizable franchise, so a follow-up is expected,
04:12 and given the surprise reveal of Borderlands 3, followed by a full release almost six months later,
04:17 Gearbox could be continuing with the same strategy for the fourth mainline entry.
04:22 Tiny Tina's Wonderland ended up being a surprise hit for Gearbox and 2K,
04:27 but what's most surprising is the possibility of a new game in the tactical shooter franchise Brothers in Arms,
04:33 which hasn't seen a new main entry since 2008's Hell's Highway.
04:38 We're moving out again. Back down Hell's Highway through Vagal. Keep walking.
04:44 LEGO 2K GOAL!
04:47 The Sky Cup Grand Prix!
04:51 All challengers must provide their own means of transportation to the Sky Stadium.
04:54 LEGO has proven to be a very versatile property with no shortage of video games over the many years video games have existed,
05:02 but outside of some racing titles, the little bricks have never tried their hand at the sports genre.
05:07 However, thanks to an accidental posting on the Australian PlayStation Store,
05:11 2K and developer Sumo Digital seem to be planning to step out onto the green for the bricks' next snapping adventure.
05:18 Although 2023's LEGO 2K Drive wasn't especially well received,
05:23 it was still a more family-friendly racing game than many of the other big-name franchises,
05:27 and 2K might see the untapped family market as a way to bring new, younger fans onto the pitch.
05:33 Let's just hope they do their best to restrain themselves when it comes to microtransactions.
05:38 You seem very well informed for a car thief.
05:40 Yeah, well, I pick things up.
05:43 Not anymore you don't.
05:45 [chewing]
05:48 Injustice 3, Gods Will Fall.
05:50 That's the problem with fighting for truth and justice. The battle never ends.
05:54 And executing them will end it?
05:56 First Joker, now this. When does it stop?
06:00 Although there is much debate about whether the subtitle "Gods Will Fall" is official or not,
06:05 many fans have pointed to NetherRealm's previous release schedule of hopping back and forth between Mortal Kombat and Injustice,
06:12 as well as the Nvidia leak name-dropping the third installment, has fans eagerly awaiting any kind of announcement.
06:19 However, the recent restructuring at WB Games seems to have led Ed Boon and his team to switch up their planned release schedules,
06:26 and instead focused on Mortal Kombat 1 so as to not sit idly by for their DC characters to fight their way out of all that red tape.
06:35 Given the massive success of the first two games, as well as the series creating its own multimedia franchise and separate timeline,
06:43 it might only be a matter of time before the heroes duke it out again for our entertainment.
06:48 I took one life to save millions.
06:51 But it wasn't just one, Cal. Was it? How many? How many?
06:58 The Insomniac leaks.
07:00 [Hackers attacking]
07:08 As terrible as it is, and as much as we don't condone what the hackers did to the developer,
07:13 we'd be remiss if we didn't at least touch on the recent leaks out of Insomniac,
07:17 which not only revealed all their planned games currently in development,
07:21 but also their slate of possible releases for the next decade.
07:25 Within the hacked documents were release windows for Insomniac's Wolverine game, as well as a Venom spin-off,
07:31 a new entry in the Ratchet & Clank series, as well as a planned X-Men game and the expected Marvel's Spider-Man 3.
07:38 While there were other games mentioned in the leaks, some of them had already been cancelled,
07:43 such as the proposed multiplayer Spider-Verse game,
07:46 and it's unknown if this hack and its many leaks will affect any of the release windows that could change entirely from their projected dates.
07:53 "I've always been Wolverine, and I've always been alone. I'll probably be alone till the day I die."
08:02 Call of Duty, Black Ops, Gulf War
08:05 "I don't know what you're talking about."
08:07 "The numbers, Mason. What do they mean?"
08:10 Another year, another Call of Duty.
08:13 Given the series' most recent missteps, Activision seems to be returning to the world of CIA espionage
08:19 with another entry in the Black Ops sub-series.
08:23 Black Ops has been by far the most consistently well-received entries in the series since the original Modern Warfare trilogy ended,
08:30 and the most recent entry, Cold War, managed to be the best-selling game of 2020,
08:36 so a new Black Ops title makes a lot of sense.
08:39 Recent leaks point to a far more traditional entry in the series,
08:43 more akin to the two original beloved Black Ops entries, and those entries focus on gameplay, gadgets, and a twisting narrative.
08:51 Thankfully, the team at Treyarch will seem to have much more development time than Infinity War did with the latest Modern Warfare 3,
08:58 so fingers crossed for a fully-fledged entry in the popular franchise, as well as a return of the many fan-favorite Black Ops maps.
09:06 "You know how to proceed. My death will shine light upon your bigotous darkness."
09:15 Final Fantasy IX Remake
09:17 [Final Fantasy IX Remake]
09:26 Another entry from the Nvidia leak that has yet to materialize,
09:30 a remake of the beloved OG PlayStation classic has been a long time coming for die-hard fans of the series.
09:37 The most recent rumors have hinted that the remake won't be on the same scale as the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy,
09:44 and will still feature the original game's traditional turn-based combat system.
09:48 Given the ambition and massive changes to the Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy,
09:53 many fans would be perfectly fine with simply an updated version of the highest-rated game in the entire franchise.
09:59 Final Fantasy is Square Enix's most profitable series by far,
10:04 and with Capcom's success with their recent remakes, revisiting the classics makes a whole lot of sense.
10:10 "My name's Vivi."
10:12 "Vivi, huh? You got a funny name. Pleased to meet you."
10:16 [DOOM 0 Year Remake]
10:21 [DOOM 0 Year Remake]
10:29 Another leak from the Bethesda documents,
10:31 and arguably one of the more exciting hints at the next entry in id Software's incredibly successful relaunch of the renowned DOOM series,
10:39 which has experienced a renaissance after the 2016 reboot and its sequel.
10:44 Considering the four-year gap between the first two entries in this new timeline,
10:48 we're due to hear about the next entry reportedly titled DOOM 0 Year very soon.
10:54 The title seems to hint at players possibly diving more into the history of the Doom Slayer and his first encounter with the forces of hell.
11:01 The 2016 DOOM reinvigorated the DOOM franchise after the divisive third entry,
11:07 and introduced an entire new generation to the series' frenetic gunplay and one of the best gaming soundtracks of the generation.
11:14 And fans both new and old are salivating at any news of when they'll once again be able to rip and tear through the forces of hell.
11:23 "You were nothing but a usurper. A false idol. My eyes have been opened."
11:33 Got any other leaks for upcoming games you're excited about? Share them down in the comments. Anonymously, of course.
