00:00 Let's talk about Stefan Diggs and would he be a good fit here in Dallas and
00:05 realistically what is the likelihood of him coming to Dallas in your mind?
00:09 There's three problems with it and one of them is a lingering problem from a
00:13 year ago when we started talking about this. The salary and the salary cap
00:17 implications don't make it realistic. They don't make it realistic for Buffalo
00:20 to say goodbye. They don't make it realistic for Dallas to say hello. That's
00:24 one issue. Dang. Issue number two. Dang. Did you watch him the second half of the
00:30 season? Because he didn't do anything. He was not an impactful star level player.
00:36 Now Buffalo, the general manager comes out and says he's a star player. He's one
00:41 of the best in the league. He's still a number one receiver. You know what? When you
00:44 have to come out and hold a press conference to announce that, you're
00:48 acknowledging there's some slippage. Did he slip because Josh Allen's not good?
00:52 No, that ain't it. Did he slip because the Bills offense isn't good? That's not
00:56 it. Did he slip because the Bills aren't good? That's not it. I don't know what it
01:00 is. He didn't do the sideline, hard on his sleeve distraction thing as much this
01:05 year. Diggs didn't. But I think at some point we all go downhill a little
01:11 bit. Some of us at my advanced age, but in football, you know, 30-ish. That might be
01:18 it. And then there's the third issue with Diggs. Ding. In this building, this team
01:24 as it exists right now, and that locker room as it exists right now, and they
01:28 don't have to view it as a big issue, and it can be fixed with three phone
01:32 calls, and maybe it already has. But the bro, bro, mama drama. This brother, and
01:39 this uncle, and this nephew, and this niece, and this grandfather, all saying
01:43 what their relative, how he should be treated around here, and he should have
01:46 this, and he should have that, and if you don't like it, we should get Dak out of
01:50 here, and get Lama. That's not good. And they talk about a brotherhood. Dak
01:56 Prescott talked about it every Thursday. Every Thursday and every Sunday, we got a
01:59 brotherhood. Well, the guys who are their actual brothers think they have a
02:03 brotherhood. So I wonder if, if you had Diggs and Diggs, if you wouldn't be
02:08 asking for trouble, not that there's anything wrong with either person, but
02:14 all of a sudden, you would have a clique. All of a sudden, you would have a little
02:19 group, and I've been around here long enough to see the little cliques and
02:24 little groups. The Tony Romo, Jason Whitten, Miles Austin, and then
02:31 later Murray, that wasn't a good thing for the Cowboys. I've talked about this
02:35 before. People sometimes say, "Fish, you're not very hard on the
02:38 Joneses." For 34 years, I'm hard on them when I think it's appropriate. They used
02:44 to go on vacation to the Turks and Pecos, and bring the yacht, and all the
02:51 Jones family, and it was delightful. Grandpa, and the lovely Jean, and the kids,
02:55 and the grandkids, and they all would dress in all white and pose in a
02:59 picture. It's beautiful, and then you'd look at the picture, and you go, "What's
03:03 Whitten doing there? That's Romo!" That's a bad way, and again,
03:10 Jerry Jones knows how to run a business way better than we do. What do we know?
03:13 We're just a couple of slappies. That seems like a bad way to run a locker
03:16 room. There's 53 guys in there. You and you get to come to Turks and Pecos
03:24 with us. What does that do to the other 51 guys? Jason Garrett, friend of the
03:29 show, but he did some of the same things. Jason Garrett said, "Hey, I'm gonna go see
03:33 Coach K play Duke versus Kentucky. Romo, Whitten, Miles Austin, you're coming with
03:40 me. What about the other 50 guys?" Yeah, and it's not on purpose, and you're not
03:48 trying to create a problem. Just like bro-bro-mama drama, they
03:53 think they're helping, and they're hurting. So I think having two brothers
03:57 in the same locker room, especially two guys that are, one of them's a little bit
04:01 volatile, both of them are quite outspoken. I think you add those things
04:06 up, and I think they don't add up for Dallas.
