00:00 The CEO of the American Gaming Association is back on coast to coast for the second year
00:09 in a row.
00:10 Is that right?
00:11 Indeed.
00:12 So it's good to see you, Bill.
00:13 And can you give me an update on the $23 billion that Americans will bet on Sunday's game,
00:21 which really is a demented number.
00:24 Think about how gigantic that pill is to swallow.
00:28 $23 billion bet on one football game.
00:30 Well, it's incredible.
00:31 First of all, it is great to see you again.
00:35 And yeah, just where we've come, right?
00:39 I mean, we're here in Nevada, and we'll talk about that in a couple minutes.
00:42 But this was the only place where you could legally bet on sports, right?
00:47 For a long, long time, decades.
00:48 That was it.
00:50 And so Supreme Court rules, Chris Christie, God love him, takes it up and says, "Why shouldn't
00:56 New Jersey have the same opportunity as Nevada?"
00:58 I know, by the way, he was the reason.
01:01 And so, you know, we at the AGA, we played a role and we articulated and said, "Look,
01:06 there is no reason for one state to have a monopoly on sports betting."
01:11 And so Supreme Court agreed.
01:14 We now have 38 states, 38 plus the District of Columbia.
