Dallas Cowboys Rumor: Sign Kansas City Chiefs CB L'Jarius Sneed in NFL Free Agency?

00:03 and he has developed into an outstanding player, a former fourth-round pick, now

00:08 age 27, and a star caliber player with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Super Bowl

00:13 winners. And here comes buzz about what the Chiefs are going to do in terms of

00:16 free agency. Who are they going to lose? Who are they going to keep? What are they going to do?

00:19 Their general manager is already on record as saying that Sneed and Chris

00:23 Jones, the great defensive lineman, those are our priorities. We don't know how

00:26 we're going to do it yet, but we're going to do it. That hasn't stopped speculation.

00:29 I'm going to call it irresponsible speculation, that has the Dallas Cowboys

00:33 preparing to sign Legereus Sneed, the cornerback. It's a grand idea. Again, he's

00:39 going to be a free agent. The Cowboys could, because we've talked about cap,

00:42 salary cap room, and the myth of salary cap held. The Cowboys could do things to

00:48 sign players. The Dak Prescott contract, for instance, will not cost them cap room.

00:53 It'll create as much as $20 million worth of cap room, just to name one move.

00:57 But here's the problem with this report, if you want to call it that. Nobody asked

01:04 the Cowboys about this. Think about Sneed, who's going to be a $20 million

01:07 dollar cornerback. That would mean the Cowboys next year would have a $20

01:10 million dollar cornerback in Sneed, another $20 million dollar cornerback in

01:14 Diggs, a $20 million dollar defensive end in Tank Lawrence, and a soon-to-be $30

01:20 million dollar edge in Micah Parsons. Oh, and by the way, D'Ron Bland is

01:25 eligible for a contract a year from now, and he might as well ask for $20

01:29 million dollars as well. That's 20-20-20, 30-20. I'm not very good at math. You

01:35 just had five guys on defense eat up half the salary cap. A name like Sneed is

01:40 a great name for somebody, probably the best name for the Chiefs, because they

01:44 could simply franchise tag him. The Cowboys going shopping in free agency.
